When I had this problem, it turned-out to be that my Windows BDA stuff was not properly installed.

Find "bda.inf" (in a WINDOWS folder), right-click on it and Install again. You may have to reboot. Then scan again.

Worth a try...

Thanks, but I have manually registered the BDA driver to be sure that it was registered this is done using the regsvr32 <filename>. It is shown when I check filters now.

When I go to run "Map Digital Channels to EPG channels" I get a message "GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configure properly, and is not already in use", if I click Ok (the only option) I get a JIT error. So in the end I'm stuck

You've edited this bda.ini file to tell it the filter name is "Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 1010B6E5-1", but no filter with that name is being found. Either you've entered the wrong device ID, or the drivers are not installed.

Uninstall the 64 bit drivers, reboot, then install the 32 bit drivers.

I'm getting the same error as Eric. Using x86 drivers for HDHR 5/12 release.

OS is Vista

Fairly clean install also, pretty much OS, and PowerDVD.

Post the logs and I'll take a look.

so, I guess this is case sensative...

when I replaced the xxxxxxxx with 1010F278, instead of 1010f278, it worked like a champ. Assuming it was just hex values, I didn't bother with CAPS... My bad.

Can you take a look at my log files too? (will wait for reply). I've been working on this for 3 days and no-go.

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object" is the error I get when I press the button that maps my digital channels to the EPG. I've added the required exceptions to Zone Alarm, I've changed the bda ini file and added my mac address and followed the instructions to this point but can't get beyond. I've even used the configuration utility posted in this forum and it says both tuners are already added. I'm only trying to configure one tuner in GB-PVR but have tried both HDHR tuners with the same failure. I believe the tuner is not being found on the network by GB-PVR although both HDHR tuner will play through VLC if I open the HDHR Manager. I'm stuck. Any ideas?
