Agarwal's v1.1.6.0 version should work fine with Emunation. Make sure you have the filter registered (regsvr32 mdapifilter.ax). I believe you also need FFDecsa.dll and pthreadVC2.dll in the gbpvr directory.

Do you know where to get Agarwal's v1.1.6.0 observer? Which gbpvr folder does this need to be placed in?

The filter needs to go into the gbpvr folder and it needs to be registered, the plugin goes in the mdplugin folder.

how do you register the mdapifilter.ax filter? When I run "Re-Register Filters.bat" it doesn't appear to register mdapifilter. Is there something else I should be doing? Thanks.

Its not part of GB-PVR so Re-RegisterFilters.bat wont register it. You'd need to manually register it by running "regsvr32 c:\path\to\mdapifileter.ax"

Thanks to all on this thread I've been kinda sorta able to get this going on my setup (was using a Pansat sm20 via the svideo port until now).

I have a small issue however; I can't see any pictures. Sound for the $$$ channels is fine just no pix.

I'm using a Twinhan 1020 into a 4 port diseqc switch with a set of 4 fixed dishes pointed at nimiq1, nimiq 2, Echostar 3 and Galaxy 25.

I CAN see the clear picture from Echostar 3 on channel "D61.5". Just none of the $$$ ones.

I get the signal bar pop up complaining that it's been too long since it issued the tuning instructions.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Mark

I am just yesterday getting back to GBPVR after a several year hiatus. In the meantime, I have been using Emu* for D119, D110 and sometimes BEV92. I seem to have gotten the MDAPI architechture up and running using Team Mediaportal - I can get the familiar Emu* screen rolling as with DVBDream and MyTheatre. However, I can't tune to any of the dvb channels (my ATSC channels are doing fine - two cards FusionHDTV ATSC and Twinhan 1022a) from within PVRX2 - the tv window crashes back to the main menu before any of the dvb-s channels can tune. In config, when I try to map channels or update the epg, as I watch the emu* console, I believe that the the tuning times out before emu* can unlock.

1. Is GBPVR/PVRX2 exhibiting proper behavior? Or should I be able to tune a channel before d...n?
2. Am I following the proper procedure?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.
