I liked this skin pre v1.0.8 and can't wait for the newest version. I like the orange/black suggestion from the first pages of the posts. Thanks for all the hard work!

if anyone is wondering, where dottore went....here i am. i have 2 problems: i cannot find any time for one of my skins and i am on mac now. i am still using gbpvr in my living room, but the production machine is a mac book pro now and i rarely start windows.

i'm pleased to hear, that sassari will work with pvrx2 and that there are so many users, who want to use it. hey, even reven made it back to gbpvr!

i think, tedthepenguin is the right person for a future sassari. thanks for your work!

if you want to orange buttons, you can just re-color the background image, it should make it pretty easy to customize your colors Smile

if people are wondering about the opacity... I think I had it at 50%, damn paint.net, wont save layered PNGs, where fireworks would save a PNG as a multi-layered image... was so nice, didnt have to worry about flattening the image, or remembering what opacity I had set things to.

ITS ALIVE! :p
thanks for the heads up, I dont blame you for not booting windows often on your mac, but you can still use photoshopBig Grin

thanks for the endorsement, reven came back because of the better skining ability, (and aparantly likes sassari, I am flattered).

I do have a request though, is there any way you could, with your considerably superior photoshop ability, re-do the background (just the high/lowlights) and buttons for 1080x1920? I can do anything that was provided in vector graphic form (tribal logo, task images) as I can just export at a higher DPI.

I really need to find some more time to work on this... I seem to be out of personal time lately... (and yes I acknowledge that I sound like a broken record about that)

Are we supposed to install to the \skin2 directory? I can't get the skin to show up in the config...

what I posted was not a full version of the skin, just a temporary workaround so people could take a look at the new buttons. I forget what was in the sip, but you will probably have to copy and rename the blue folder, then unzip this over it... also I havnt touched 1.0.16, so I have no idea how this works with that.

and yes, I am going to make a horizontal menu as well

hate to be a pain (i hate this question myself) but you got a eta for a full working skin ? (just for the core gbpvr plugins)

youre not a pain... I am a slacker :p

sorry, I had no time to sork on this for about a week, due to taking a vacation last weekend, and the clusterF*** that work was trying to get everything done so I could actually take my vacation.

I will do my best to get some work done on the core plugins soon.

If you want a date, I am going to have to switch my main HTPC over to 1.0.16 before zap2it kicks it, and I dont want to change skins (WAF) so I want to get it done by then.

also, vertical or horizontal menu?

ooh, just want to get this down.

I think I may have come up with a way to ensure the lines for the list background are at 45°. just make the bounding box for the image continue outside the box of the composite image for the list... might work...

Quote:thoughts on the new incarnation of sassari? (what little I have done with it)
It's looking good, skinning takes time tho doesn't it? Rolleyes

Quote:its probably going to be annoying to integrate it into the community skin now, since I am not just using a single PNG for buttons anymore.
Yeah I noticed that. I'm working on a Sassari theme for the Community Skin right now, using the old Sassari images that I have.
