Just to add one more video link as a teaser, try http://www.gbpvr.com/pch.zip (4MB zip file containing a 5MB xvid .avi video file).

Dont get to excited though - it may or may not eventuate into a client.

This device certainly seems to do a nice job with playback, even with the highdef H.264 DVB-T trials we're running in NZ at the moment.

Looks Great! Is this the Syabas Protocol like wizd uses? If so I suppose people with the Netgear EVA-700,EVA-8000 would also be able to use GBPVR.
As well as some of the older units like the Avel-Link player and Buffalo Linktheater (But May be SD only)

If this support is added, I'll help beta test :-)

Count me in for any testing too. It's actually kind of cool viewing pch.avi on the PCH itself, because it is a capture of the PAL PCH and GBPVR screens showing here on the NTSC TV.

Does it do a pretty good job playing back PAL on an NTSC tv? I've not played with my device too much yet, and have only tried a few PAL standard def videos and a couple of high def h.264 videos.

Sure.

The biggest problem is that I cant currently use the up/down/left/right/enter buttons on the remote, so these had to be mapped to other non-sensical buttons on the remote. I've only owned the device for a couple of days though, so hopefully I'll think of a way around this limitation.

This type of client is only a work around while I wait for them to enable user apps though...

Couldn't there be hidden tags that use TVID codes to get the key presses to GBPVR?

Also can the USB Keyboard support be used?

Yep, thats pretty much what I used. Noticed the lack of up/down/enter buttons in that table.

So I suppose the ONKEY????SET functions in section 5.5 might be used for the arrow keys, still not shure on enter. Perhaps ONLOADSET hould be used for the enter key. so the focus would be on the oblect for the enter key and since the ONKEY(R/L/U/D)SET is used, you can't move from the ENTER focus set by ONLOADSET so enter is the only choice.

At least that looks like thats how that would work.
