You need an MVP server running for each MVP that's trying to connect. Start the config app, then click on the MVP tab, set the number of servers to autostart to the number of MVP's that you have. Then they should be able to connect at the same time.
i3-3570k, 8GB RAM, Win10 Pro, Nvidia GT710, HDHomeRun (OTA), NPVR 6.x

I do have it set to 2 servers... and it still will have either one of them saying "Contacting Server" or they both will say that. Then when I unplug one the other one will boot.

Thanks,
Blue

I had similar issues like that. I set the MVP server count to be one higher that the real count. This seems have worked for me.

I was going to ask if anyone had tried by having it set to +1 over what you have for total MVPs... I will try that and see if that fixes that issue.

Thanks,

Greg

Greg that seems to have fixed the connection issue... I have both boxes running perfectly right now. Thanks for the help. (I'll have to maybe add something like that to the WIKI)

sub, now that I have it ready to capture the logs you want I can't get it to "fail" but I will post those logs for you right after it happens again.

Thanks for all the great support and a wonderful product!

Ok sub, I was able to reproduce the issue I am have when I select a program from the TV guide and press OK and then record, and change it to record the season and then press record and boom the MediaMVP restarts. I hope these logs show something that can help.

Thanks, Blue

I cant see what you describe happening in the logs.

Its worth noting that only the first instance of the MVP server actually produces logs, so when you run multiple MVP servers you may be reproducing the problem on a server that is not writing log files.

Its best to drop it back to one server while you're trying to capture problems in the logs.

So you want me to change the config to 1 MVP server and disconnect one of them and try to get it again?

Thanks so much,
Blue
