I would like to do a bit to help MythTV as GB-PVR does not run on Linux yet (although it theory it might if it could run on Mono).
I would like to improve MythTV's support for the MediaMVP and get it to work in a similar way that you have got the integration between GB-PVR and the MediaMVP working - i.e. with a modified VNC protocol and running the UI on the host PC with 'hooks' that run up the MediaMVP's MPEG2 decoder for displaying video files and listening to MP3 recordings.
There is a native Linux application for the MediaMVP called MediaMVP Media Center but it is a little bit rough-and-ready at the moment and it would be nice to access MythTV's program guide from the MediaMVP like users of GB-PVR can do when using the MediaMVP.
I appreciate that the source code of the core part of GB-PVR is not being released but is there any chance of releasing at least the algorithms of how GB-PVR integrates with the MediaMVP or if not is there any chance in the future of GB-PVR being ported over to Linux/Mono?
