Hmm, I see what is going on. Its actually seems to be a very old bug, relating to the way recordings are allocated on mix channel setups. I'd seen a few sporadic reports of in the past, but never been able to track it down before. The change I made in the recording service in that last patch made it more likely to occur.

The attached patch should resolve it.

So does this mean both patches (and the config.xml changes) should still be applied or JUST this one? If the latter, might be a good idea to delete the previous patch ?

Oops, see you've already put both in "survival" :-)
So are config.xml changes still required?

These updates will only have any effect on users that have <TryToHonourPaddingIfPossible>true</TryToHonourPaddingIfPossible>.

I also recommend people use <PreferAlternatingCaptureSources>false</PreferAlternatingCaptureSources> to minimise the chance of any conflicts.

Hi Sub, I recorded 3 shows back to back this afternoon (with a single PVR-150) and indeed the second and third shows started recording exactly on time, the pre and post padding were ignored at the proper times. I'm glad to know that it works that way. It will increase the WAF! Smile

A while back the end would get cut off of one show and would appear in the beginning of the show that was recording immediately afterwards. We just got used to manually adjusting the pre-padding and had not tried just queing them up with Quick Record in quite some time. :o

Patch installed (helped very much by the "stop recording service" in the tray icon!), a few back to back recordings made and all seems well.

Many thanks for your time and the rapid response.

Slight oddity. I'm not sure if related to the above or not.

I can't cancel a recording in progress. The pvrx2 screen just freezes and the recording continues. I stopped the recording service, killed the pvrx2 process, deleted the logs and restarted the recording process to get clean logs.
The recording restarted as expected, I started pvrx2, went to pending recordings and it was there, went in and selected cancel and the pvrx2 screen froze. File is still growing.

logs attached.

sorry - Martin (I've not had this before)

edit: tried old gbpvr interface - just the same.
