Back to back records with Post-Padding

I’m experiencing a constant problem with trying to extend a recording when a 2nd one starts. I’ve got 2 tuner cards and here’s the scenario:

Show A starts at 8am and ends at 9am. I set it to extend for 30 minutes. I expect it to record for a total of 90 minutes. Show B starts at 9am.

Result: Show A does record, but only for a 60 minute duration, not extended by 30 minutes.

I can work around this by scheduling the next show from 9am – 9:30am on the same channel as Show A, but this seems like a hack solution.
