FYI, if you ever have a plugin that you want to configure, without restarting the recording service, you can always hit cancel in GBPVR's config app after adjusting the plugin.

However, this will not work for plugin settings that require the gbpvr.config file.

JavaWiz Wrote:I am having problems recreating this. Does it only occur when importing from the Recordings, or does it also happen when manually changing a title within the config program?

When I go into the config, pic an entry and change the title to "Dante's Peak" (with quotes), it finds Dante's Peak no problem.

If it fails in both tests, make sure you have the most current version of WizWebHelper.DLL

Sorry, been on leave.

I noted when I searched that not all quotes are equal. It seems my EPG produces 66's and 99's, so when I copied the exact quotation mark from my EPG and searched, (I think I pasted these in my original post too) it finds them. If I just type a quote from the keyboard, it doesn't seem to like it.

HTH

Would it be possible to enable the file/pathname of the movie to be editable via Movie Manager? I found I needed to move some movies around and this would normally mean adding their data again and deleting the old entries.

Cheers,
Dan

You should be able to accomplish this via the Archive settings.
  • In the config program, on the 'Plugin Settings' tab, add your target directory(ies), to the Archive Locations list.
  • Move your files to their new locations.
  • On the 'Manage Content' tab, click the 'Sync Archived' button.
The program will scan your db and attempt to locate any missing entries in the 'Archived Directories' locations. It will also attempt to match up any transcoded entries if the original filenames/extensions are not found, it will try to match to the following extensions: .mpg,.mpeg,.mp4,.avi,.mov

I'll give it a try.

Thanks,

MovieWizManager - Added command-line batch interface. From CMD prompt, type MovieWizManager -help for syntax.

Hi JW, I'm trying this in batch file (to schedule). Are UNC paths allowed? Syntax OK? I tired w/o UNC, same error???

Code:
MovieWizManager.exe -Recordings -SyncArchived -SubDirs -Load:"directory[[;E:\GBPVR][;\\Theslug\disk 1\ArchivedMovies][;\\Theslug\disk 2\ArchivedMovies][;L:\ArchivedMovies]]"

I get this error???

Code:
EventType : clr20r3     P1 : moviewizmanager.exe     P2 : 1.0.2.0
P3 : 47a155f8     P4 : mscorlib     P5 : 2.0.0.0     P6 : 471ebc5b     P7 : 3404
P8 : 119     P9 : system.io.directorynotfound

Another wish :o I'd like to automate which shows NOT to search on, stuff I watch and trash every week. Could you add a new argument for ignore shows beginning with [Ignore][[XXXX],[YYYY],[ZZZZZ]] e.g.?

No errors in MW logs so didn't post.

Ta!

Looks like I need a little more work on the directory import. But, you need to change the command line to look like this:

Quote:MovieWizManager.exe -Recordings -SyncArchived -SubDirs -Load:"E:\GBPVR;\\Theslug\disk 1\ArchivedMovies;\\Theslug\disk 2\ArchivedMovies;L:\ArchivedMovies"

Cheers I'll give it a whirl. Would the ignore switch be able to implemented or is it "too hard basket" :-)

I'll put it on the TODO list. I've been busy travelling and taking on new assignment at work tho, so it may be awhile before you see any updates.

No worries, I'll check your TODO list periodically at http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/MovieWiz (Not complaining, but as the delete function is not in the list though nor copy details from one show to another, nor collapsed show mechanism, I thought maybe these had been missed as TODO items ... If you say "I'm not going to do this", like sub does, then that's fine too, I won't pursue it :-))

btw Did you have any thoughts about implementation of that collapsed show mechanism for a show series?
