wouldnt i need to specify a directory as well? I tried it both ways, and it told me that it wasnt a mpeg file...

Are they any transcoder programs that can us the comskip file to automatically filter out ads while compressing to MPEG-4? Ideally this could be set to run automatically every nigth or so. There is talk of this on the wiki documentation but that seems rather involved and over my head. This would be great if it could work. Thanks.

There is a commercial app called videoredo excellent tool.  It supports a command line.  And comskip has a setting that will generate the project that you run it on it spits out a new mpeg without the commercials.  Then you can compress it away.

There is no freeware app that does this well. I have looked.

Hey sub... since GBPVR is working so nicely with the last couple of updates, any chance for adding an optional auto-skip feature? Not one that actually trims the mpeg file, but one that just jumps at the break-points?
