Hi JW,

I'm trying the new release and have noted the following:
  • Did not remember that I had the Date Sort (Blue Button) checked.
  • External Players tab
I have two external players defined, one for DVD's and the other for general videos. I noticed that selecting between the players does not refresh the associated "types". Other details (Description, Execution and paramters) change as expected. This quirk was present on earlier versions, too.
Otherwise, all looks good.

Cheers,
Dan

The check box in the config simply enables the sort button, it does not set it as the default sort order.

I guess I could have the plugin remember the last sort order selected between runs. I will add that feature in next version.

Future request

Please add the Posibilty to lookup "ofdb" (German) Online-Database.

This integration also needs the integration of the special German letters ä.ü.ö etc.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umlaut_(diacritic)

I would like to use ure great plugin but i always need to change the name of my movies to the original English name.

Thank you

This may be difficult since "Ich spreche kein Deutsch" (thank you google). It will be difficult for me to figure out how to parse and interpret the html from that site.

You should already be able to enter those characters by using the alt-#### sequence. for example, on my pc, if i hold left ALT key and key in 0228, i get ä when I release the ALT key.

I notice they actually get some of their info from IMDB. Is the information on german.imdb.com sufficient for your needs? If so, I can probably pretty easily have the scraper look at that site to retrieve info.

If i can let my movies be German named, and get a German Information lookup. this would be enough for me.

Thank you for offering your support.

Could you give me a few examples of movie names that don't work. I'll see what I can do.

"grace is gone" ---- Getting English lookup

"Mirrors" ------- Getting English lookup

"Wanted" ------- Getting English lookup

What do i need to do, to specify German lookup

I've found all your plugins in the Wiki of GBPVR and I'm very impressed, you are making very usefull plugins and I'm actually using your movie renamer plugins which successfully renams Titles with Umlaut's included, this wasn't possible with all the other plugins in the past, thank you very much

At this point, there is no German lookup. I also tried your example at http://german.imdb.com, and it did not find the title. It did however find the english translation "Snow Angels".

If your concern is primarily loosing the german title in the plugin display, how about this... In MovieWiz manager, on the manage content tab,
  • There was another field called "title lookup" (in addition to the Title field.
  • The Title field would be used to display in the plugin. You could enter your German title here
  • The "Title lookup" field would not be displayed in the plugin, it would ONLY be used to make the IMDB/TheTvDb and Thumbnail lookups for information.
This way, the current IMDB lookups would continue to work, you'd have to supply the english title for lookup, but the Plugin would display the gernan title.

Lucky I guess, I did not specifically code for that character set.
