HDMI support broken in newer ATI drivers

From a command prompt (administrative command prompt if you have UAC enabled):

1. Type "set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices" and press enter.
   
2. Type "devmgmt.msc" and press enter.
   
3. Select "View"->"Show hidden devices".
   
4. Expand "Monitors".
   
5. Delete all installed monitors.
   
6. Unplug the cable to your TV.
   
7. Wait 5-10 seconds and then plug it in again.
   

If this doesn't work, we can try something else.

It wouldn't hurt. It does fix some issues with EDIDs (but not all). If that doesn't work, download the attached, unzip it to a folder like c:\temp\GetEDID, then run the "OutputToFile.bat". It should create 3 files: GetEDID.log and 1 *.bin and 1 *.txt file (more if you have more than one monitor connected). Zip and post the .bin and GetEdid.log

Just an update - I uninstalled Catalyst Control Center - and lo and behold, connected first time back to the tv.
