Yes, it is stable now. I do not remeber the specifics about the config if I changed anything. But the problems where more than likely related to other hardware conflicts. Like IRQ conflicts. I moved a tuner from a PCI slot to another and deactivated some internal devices. Seems to have solved most if not all of those problems.

The only problem that still occurs sometimes is that the USB/serial adapter to the card reader goes into some kind of sleep mode at random times. I have set the USB hub to not go into sleep mode, but still it happens. And when it does the USB device is reporting 0 mA current usage. Normally it is 90 mA. The only way to reset this is to unplug/plug the card reader and restart newcs. Very strange behaviour and I suspect some kind of hardware problems here as well. Any hints how to solve it is very welcome.

Sub, have you had any time to look at this problem? As I understand no more patches are issued for 1.5.36, but maybe it is fixed in the next release?

I don't think Sub will have time for that in quite a while, so you might as well go for a softcam solution. If you do, you will also get the benefit of multirecording.

sub Wrote:After reading the post this morning, I've at least got as far as finding my Twinhan device, dusted it off, and put it back in my machine. Now I've just got to find the Twinhan drivers for 64bit Win7. Where did the Twinhan website go...

Did you find the drivers needed? Twinhan is out of business, so the website is down too. And there are no x64 drivers, but the old drivers work on x64 win7 too. As long as you don't have more than 3 MB of memory... I can dig up my copy of the drivers if need be.

Most people do. I did mean 3 GB actually... Smile

My old HTPC copes with 2 GB so far and it works well with my Win7 x64. But I do have some problems with the Twinhan card despite. Recordings and playback gets choppy with ALL the tuners as soon as I enable the Twinhan card. It could be my hw, PCI IRQ issues or something. I haven't really found a solution. Other than to disable the card (in device manager).
I have a PCI-e dual tuner card and an USB tuner (DVB-T2) as well. Before I ran XP on the same HW and the Twinhan card worked well. I had issues with the second dual tuner in the PCI-e card instead.
