I know. He said he was using the DivX H.264 Decoder, which is what I was suggested he replace with another decoder.

Does this version have FORWARD and BACK buttons to skip through commercials and a TV Guide SEARCH?

You mean skip buttons? NPVR has always used pretty myuch the same keys as GBPVR. ie Ctrl-Left/Right for skipping a minute, or Ctrl-F/Ctrl-R (this last one was Ctrl-D in GBPVR) for skipping 10 seconds.

Not built-in, but there is the SearchLite plugin. I do intend to write my own at some same stage, but the since there is a decent plugin, its a little lower in my priority list now.

I am holding out for buttons and a built in search. Hopefully they will come in future versions. Thanks.

Ah, you mean buttons you can click on. Sorry, there arent any during video playback at this stage. Maybe in a future release though.

Hey sub, do we have to do anything to enable the duplicate avoidance? Or is that defaulted to on?

It'll just do it automatically if possible.

Love the new release sub thanks.

I badly miss 2 features for gbpvr

  • Genre associated searches through the web interface
  • Conflict Resolution

Any chance of them making it back in soon?

Conflict resolution will make a return.

I probably wont add genre support back in. It was a feature than benefitted very few users, but added performance complications for all users. Behind the scenes in GBPVR I did a lot of tricks to get it working ok (demand loading etc), and it made for messy code. Things are much cleaner without it.

Tried Searchlite, it's a little too technical for me. I miss the old GBPVR search, since I didn't really use it as a "Search" but just scanned through the listings alphabetically by program name. Hoping that use case could either pop up in Searchlite or make a return natively.
