I had the same problem with Live TV but I changed the <PrePlayDelay> in the config.xml from 500 to 1500 to give it an extra second buffer. It fixed the problem for me. <PrePlayDelay>1500</PrePlayDelay>

....or just pressing pause once Live TV has started for a second or two to let the buffer between the end of the recording and where you are watching grow. You try this out to see if changing the PrePlayDelay will solve your problem or not.

Not very wife-compatible though is it?

Nope, made no difference in my setup, it still does it. Not all the time, and perhaps not even on every channel, but the stuttering is still there. Maybe I should set the value even higher, but I'd like to know what it really does before messing with it any further.

I almost never get stuttering, but I have had to do a short skip back every time I start HD live tv on the PC to sync a/v.

I'm guessing that sub would have told me if this setting was likely to make any difference. I think there was an option in the config app in the days of PVRX2 for this setting? Maybe it is redundant in NPVR?

sub, if you need any info to help diagnose this, please let me know.

I dont know if that setting will help or not. Give it a go and let me know. It doesnt mean quite the same thing as the similarly named setting in GBPVR.

Has anybody had any luck correcting this problem? I have problems with live tv and audio stuttering if the source is from any of my analog capture cards. If the source is from my digital capture cards and has AC3 audio there is no problem. I have tried several combinations of decoders with no success.

Have you tried AC3Filter for MPEG audio?

I use ac3filter for both ac3 and mpeg audio, but still get the stuttering with both.

Sorry for the late response but work has been keeping me busy. I have tried ac3filter, ffdshow, cyberlink and different combination of each for ac3 and mpeg. The only way to correct it for me is to eithier pause so that it uses the buffer file or to disable the ac3 codec. Neither are really acceptable solutions to me at this time. I will continue to try different codecs and configurations to see if I can correct it but will stick with PVRX2 until I can.

Thanks,
Jeff
