It give's basically the same functionality as the tray icon but adds a couple of things:
  • Low disk space warnings
  • Can be run from any Vista/Win7 machine to monitor a GBPVR server.
  • Quick access to web admin logs.

I'll leave it to someone else to fully document it (which would be rather simple). I'm a programmer and not a documentation writer, and as such, I tend to explain things too technically (and I also hate writing documentation).

Ooooh whurlston, never say that last bit! How simple was it to code it Big Grin Very? 2 minutes. That's OK then, it will only take 2 minutes to write it up then Big Grin If it was that simple I'll code the next bit and you can write up my code on the wiki with full explanation of how it works Wink

Seriously I'm just looking for how we can all draw on each other here and try to pull some stuff together. If I sound flippant, I'm not. All of us work hard to bring this stuff together. And Sub works harder than most!

I wish it only took me 2 minutes to code. Just because the end result/functionality is rather simplistic does not mean that it only took a couple of minutes to produce. It's difficult enough for me to find what little time I get to write code (I honestly don't know how sub does it). I am not going to spend that little free time writing detailed documentation unless I feel it's absolutely necessary (like the old HDHomeRun configuration); and I do not believe detailed documentation from me for the gadget is necessary. If someone can use the web admin interface, they should find the gadget rather simple. I feel that there are much better contributions that I can make to the community during my free time. If someone else chooses to document it in detail, more power to them.
