First off, thanks for all your replies.

I've been doing a little more playing with nPVR and it looks like some of my issues were with the skin I was using. I'd loaded the latest version of the 'NextBlue' skin and set the preferred style to 'Horizontal'. If I go back to sub's 'Default' skin then both my issue with wherever I click on the main screen always activates the menu option thats directly above or below goes away, as does the not being able to move to a point in a video by clicking on the progress bar which is HUGE step forward!

I have found the problem that caused your right clicking issue on the NextBlue skin. I will post a update on the wiki to fix this problem after sub's next release. Thanks you for point out the problem. I have also fixed the timeline bar so that when you click on it, the video skips to that point (similar to the default skin). I will post this fix to the wiki today.

Was the the iconized app listed in the taskbar, or the tray icon in the lower right corner?

I see Settings in the right click menu for the iconized app in the taskbar - but not on the tray icon in the lower right corner.

Update: It worked! Picture looks to be back to what I was getting in GB-PVR, so a big THANK YOU! Looks like GB-PVR's days are numbered on my machine!

Northpole: Sounds good! I'll have a play and report back if I have any more problems once I've re-installed nPVR.

Sub, I'm definitely not seeing the 'Settings' option on either the tray icon or the task itself on the taskbar. I'll report back after I've done my clean up and reinstall. It's a bank holiday weekend here in the UK and the weather doesn't look like it's going to be great, so I'll probably get to it over the next couple of days.
