Try asking the technical staff here in a forum format:

Btw the one u listed seems too expensive for a dual tuner, at 159.00 Euros.

I don't see the point. I'll probably get more answers from people that have the same card you have and from some who has the dvb-t only, and it'll only add to the confusion.

I will most likely be buying another TBS6280 when the discount period kicks in, so perhaps by that time I can tell you more whether the new version still supports DVB-C.

On a side note I feel that you are too sceptical to the extent that it may cost you more in terms of paying too much for your product.

I ended up ordering a Digital Devices dual dvb.t/c tuner that can be extended with two more tuners. I'll report back when I have tested it.

Got the card and installed it today. It turns out that both tuners only receives QAM256 channels, not QAM64 which should be easier. Chris, do you have any QAM64 channels on the same type of tuner?

I have several QAM64 channels and also some QAM256, all working without any problems.

Then there must be something strange with my signal, only my Cinergy C PCI HD card is able to tune the QAM64 channels.

Hello everybody,

I've come along to this board by searching for any kind of information about the TBS 6220 which i would like to use mainly for DVB-C. I know that TBS published a hybrid driver that can let this card work in DVB-C mode instead of DVB-T/T2. Why i chose this card ? Well because it is supported by Crazyscan that can show the spectrum, can analyse certain carriers and so on. This is something i wouldn't want to miss.

What i wanted to know is, if anybody has experience on this particular card working it in DVB-C mode. It is of big importance for me to know if i can rely on it because i have no other source to receive the german channels since 19.2E is out of reach from my dish. Will Transedit / DVB Viewer find all active stations ? Will Crazyscan work with all its features ?

Further on i'd like to ask in which way the mode of the card can be switched to DVB-T/T2 ? Can it be done without rebooting the OS ?
This is just for fun because terrestrial signals are not of much interest here at least for now. Maybe from 2016 on things will change when DVB-T2 comes up but then h265 could be the next challenge to cope with.

Thanks in advance.
Best regards from Stuttgart.

I do not have the TBS 6220 card, but I do have the TBS 6280 card which is a dual tuner, and both cards' operations are very similar, the only difference being one is single tuner and the other a dual tuner.

I'm using the TBS 6280 to tune to DVB-C. No problems.

Anyway, now they have this Summer Sales, so it's a good opportunity to buy since there is a discount.

Hello.

Are you using any of my prementioned apps like Transedit / DVB Viewer and Crazyscan ?

Thanks for the info about Summer Sales of which i was aware of before. I would save about 10€ compared to a german eshop but i prefer buying it from latter because of warranty and customs issues.
