USD$10 is an excellent and brainer price...in the meantime you wanted a dual-TV tuner card...how much was one of those? You know the HDHomeRun's work really nice on NextPVR now? I have 2 running for 4 channels being able to be recorded/played at one time...very nice...let me know how to donate to you and I'll do so...I know the Samsung guys can be really tuff and take ages before you have an approved app...a few donations between now and then wouldn't be a bad idea...

managed to get a dual tuner, just waiting for it to be delivered. thinking about getting a blu-ray player to test that on so donations towards that might be a idea or a 2012 year 32" tv to test against as well (i need a 32" tv more than i need a blu-ray player....), just need to do a little more research first.

thanks, i really appreciate the donation offer, ill let you know.

Okay...let me know and I'll donate...

I'll go off to JB Hi-Fi today...I might get the same model as yourself in a 32-inch and start playing around with this (in my home office...my 5th TV area)....if Plex App and NextPVR app you're doing work out everything it sounds like they are then I'll invest in the F8000 for the main room and the 3 others in the 6000 range in various sizes....

Very excited...

Thanks for the video, that looks really neat - much more snappy than I had imagined it would be!

for those who have the alpha, ive uploaded a new build. hopefully fixes a remote stop working issue (i was able to reproduce this, and a new build fixed it for me).

i also made it so when you press "back" during playback, it goes to the previous menu and the video is shown behind the menus (instead of the background), this works great on my 2013 dual core tv, not sure about older models though, so please test. when i added this i made a bug where the clock is always visible during playback though, ill fix this tomorrow.

sub has created a new subforum for "NextPVR for Samsung". Can every tester create their own thread, including the player info (tv/bluray, model, year) and report any specific issues they're having in that thread.

will make it easier for me to remember whose running it on what and what player has the issue etc.

ill post some more screen shots and info in that forum.

Hi Reven....I got delayed yesterday however I'm going to go out and buy the new Blu-Ray BD-F6500/XY with SmartHub for special at (JB Hi-Fi) for AUD$114...which I think would be good whilst I am testing...if all goes well I'll upgrade all my TV's then...

When I get the unit back and generally configured I'll log in a developer and then will need to use your file to be located on a local HTTP server (on port 80) I guess...however I am not sure how I go about this...do you have a link on how I should go about this?

Thanks....

smacrae i PM'd you the instructions to do this, just following those and you should be fine. (please dont discuss the config instructions here, wanting to keep private/contained/managed while in alpha/beta).

I've been trying to keep an eye out for a older bluray player or tv, but cant really find anything on trademe (nz's version of ebay). Only want to support 2011 ("D") models and up. anything older IMO is going to be too old. ill use any donations i receive to purchase a bluray/tv for testing other models.

Hi Reven

I've been a lurker for awhile in the NextPVR forum. When I saw your post about beta testing a Samsung TV with NextPVR I couldn't
resist the offer to try out what an awesome thing that could turn out to be. Now I am no longer just a lurker, I signed onto the forum just so
to help you out and to check out the app! The app on the video looks way cool!

AND....I just happen to have 2011 55' LED 3D Samsung! To be more specific it is UN55D6400UFXZA manufactured Oct 2011. The menu I finally landed on after signing in via User: develop PW: develop (Had to input the password to bring to focus the "OK" button) is on the "Development" menu:

"Setting Server IP" (which is blank (zeros)).
"User Application Synchronization"

I'd be happy to help with the testing! (I think my wife would be even more happy for me to test! (It should improve the "WAR" factor "Wife Approval Rating"!)) About 3 years ago, after three months of research, I setup my own HTPC system and dropped the satellite subscription. Love it! Been fine tuning it ever since. I am not a genious at PVR setup by no means but I can research enough online to solve whatever problems I come across. Tinker a lot and can write software in VB. Just this last two weeks I set up 5 different PVR combos using 2 front ends with 3 backends on two different computers to see what currently is the best PVR out there.

Send me the info!
DODDger

Configuration:
Server: AMD A8 3800 2.7GHz Quadcore / 8GB RAM / Windows 7 SP1/ NextPVR 2.6.2 & WMC / Hauppauge 2250 Dual Tuners / DVD Burner / Radeon 6550D (I need to verify that) / ATSC / OTA and MC2XML EPG
Client: Same computer as above.
Client: Apple TV2 ? (May have been testing the Argus TV PVR with that. Can't remember now.)
Client: Samsung Galaxy s4 Smartphone with Android 4.3 using nDroid app.

Hi Reven,

Would really like to try your last Samsung plugin. However, not sure my model is supported as it is a 2010 model (Samsung UE46C7705) which supports Apps but I think was launched before the SMART concept. I also do have a Samsung Blue-ray BD-C6900 but I think that one is from 2010 as well.

Anyhow, what do you think, any chance I can get it to work?
