From a share. When from http it stops on its own when I get a few seconds beyond the initial recording length.

Yes I figured, but I just wanted to be sure. Are you seeing the bad jumping on all platforms I don't remember this problem when testing but I don't do it often? It's also not something that I can control, but maybe play with the setting http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW...me_seeking, I use time seeking all the time.

I only have OpenElec/Linux to test so I'm not sure how it behaves on Windows. I figured it was probably a general XBMC issue but thought I would ask anyways. Thanks.

I pretty much on watch in-progress from my Windows laptop and XBMC and I can navigate backwards fine. From my ARM devices on the larger screen I usually watch things that likely could have been comskipped as I cam never that eager. Sports I just watch live.

I wish XBMC could handle this better. I like to start watching football after about an hour has been recorded so that when I get to the end after skipping through commercials and halftime I am only a few minutes behind the live action. Unfortunately, with XBMC it means stopping and resuming playback several times and as I get to the end I have to do this more frequently, of course.

Odd I just spend hours this weekend testing my SRE-like utility to Slugger's server on XBMC (Windows 13.2 final) and it never cut out once using x-newa and file shares. I probably did this on 20-30 shows right near EOF to confirm that the end time would keep getting extended in five minute increments. While watching the Yankees game which extended many time I was watching the SRE interface as it toggled from Bottom of the ninth to Final which triggered my utility to cancel the recording and within 30 seconds XBMC on my laptop stopped playng the file just after the final out.

I was regularly so close to EOF that I believe I found a bug as NextPVR wouldn't give me a resume option that I've asked sub about.

Here's what I mean I started watching this in-progress at 9:55 and it stayed right at eof with both times growing until the game ended at 10:22

Hi Martin. What does this mean? What is SRE-like utility to Slugger's server on XBMC?

The problem for me occurs when I try to jump forward/back. For example, the displayed length of the recording remains at 1:00:00 for me until I watch/skip forward up to that time. It then does play past that point and increases the displayed length of the recording by one second as I watch. However, if I try to jump ahead at all after that point it keeps jumping back to 1:00:00 even though the recording is probably 1:45:00 in length at that time. So, unless I want to watch from there on out in realtime without skipping ahead (defeating the purpose of the delayed-watch for me), I have to stop the recording and resume and repeat the process when I catch up to 1:45:00, etc., which happens quicker as I get closer to the live action.

I probably delay a little longer so never catch up to real time, I will try tonight and be more eager, I use time based skipping <usetimeseeking>true</usetimeseeking> if that makes a difference.

@dinki this thread talke about my goal http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...to=newpost and it uses the same server that this SageTV plugin uses http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57364 For watching sports it is very handy.
