EPG not updating manually or automatic

Thanks, yes I guess I was using an old .exe. Weird that it stopped working 9/30, and weird that the new .exe got smaller. Windoze reports the latest as v1.2, the dates are all set to now (when I downloaded it), so that is worthless.

This version does work now in updating the xmltv.xml file, although it's about 25% of the size of the file I had on 9/30. I need to modify my batch file to include country and zip to get rid of pop-up window in NPVR though, and create the channel line up also (I think). When doing EPG Update in NPVR, none of the new EPG listings in the xmltv.xml are showing up in NPVR TV Guide. I suspect there is an issue with the channel mapping. Hope I don't have to go through and re-map each one.

Guess I was tired, I picked the wrong channel line up from the mc2xml pop-up. Deleted the .dat file in \epg, re-ran from NPVR and made the right line-up selection, now we have the EPG back in NPVR. WPOF should drop dramatically tomorrow!

With all the screwing around and different things I tried, all I really (probably) needed to do was get the latest mc2xml.exe and delete the .dat and .xml files from \epg. After the first launch mc2xml.exe creates the .dat which stores the location/line up info so there's no more pop-up windows and I didn't need to modify the UpdateEPG.bat file at all.

Johsonx42 & baj1, Thank you for solving this problem. Like baj1, my EPG also quit updating as of today. I went through this same problem a couple of weeks ago. Downloaded the (at the time) latest mc2xml.exe and all was good until today. After reading this thread I downloaded the latest-latest exe and now it's good again. So...THANKS!

that's odd, I know MC2XML.exe hasn't changed in at least a couple of years. I have copies of it I downloaded over 2 years ago, and they're exactly the same as the one I downloaded this week - v.1.2.0, 892,928 bytes.
