Still not sure why it wakes after one minute, then every 3 minutes due to 2 minute sleep period.
Does not do it every time. Started doing it once a week and now almost every day.
Does not show in logs. Restart Recording Service always stops the inadvertent wake cycles.
I decided to add a task to the event log to restart the recording service.

1. Open Event Viewer, Windows, Logs, System
2. Select Power-Troubleshooter Event ID 1
3. Select Attach Task To This Event..., Next, Next, Start a Program, Browse..., restartnpvr.bat, Next, Finish.
4. Open Task Scheduler, Select Task, In Properties/Triggers, Select Run with highest privileges

restartnpvr.bat
timeout /t 10
net stop "NPVR Recording Service"
net start "NPVR Recording Service"

I've had a good look at the power management code today, and tried reproducing this, but I'm not seeing any problems.

When do these wakeups begin? As soon as the recording service is started? when the first recording completes? after the first EPG update? something else?

It happens after the last recording of the night and should stay asleep until the next night.
It used to run all week without problems, then it would get to Thursday night and start doing it.
Then it would only get to Tuesday night and do it.
Now it does it almost every night.
Tried clearing some old items in npvr.db3 scheduled recording but it still did it.

Can you post your logs showing the problem happening?

I haven't seen it in the logs, only in event viewer so I'm wondering if it's a windows problem.

I wanted to see if your logs had repeated 'Recording service noted the system was resuming...' messages, and at what time they started relative to other things happening.

My logs don't go back to the last time I let it occur. I'll have to wait until it happens again.

Ok, post all the nrecord.log files next time it happens, so we can see back as far as possible.

Here are the logs from todays inadvertent wake after one minute sleep.
It should not have the wake at 2015-10-12 12:03:24.410 [DEBUG][79] Resuming...

Recordings started at 6:59 am and ended at 12:01 pm.
My task to restart recording service occurred at 6:57 and at 12:03 after the inadventent wake.
I manually woke the computer up a 12:13 pm to copy the nrecord logs.

Hmm, can't really see any obvious signs of NextPVR was responsible for that wake up - it hasn't requested a wake up any time near then. I'll keep monitoring other people's feedback though, and see if we can find any pattern to what's happening.
