Loosing Channel Map

Sure - if you want to change the mapping, set it to something and then hit 'ok' to save it. I'm just saying don't be concerned if you double click a channel to view it's details and it looks like the mapping isn't set (it is, but it's not showing).

Good Day sub...Okay I got it. I don't know if you noticed but the UK channels that have been mapped do show their mapping state when double clicking. This is the opposite to what the USA details indicates which is a blank. But I get what you are saying. Good day...It looks as though this issue has returned in a very strange way. I am using SD with my setup and yesterday I added in another DTV EPG lineup from SD in order to have EPG data for some local channels in Nebraska. I eliminated the DTV lineup I was using so I am left with a UK lineup, DTV Omaha and DTV Bakersfield. That is how they appear in the drop down EPG Source window. I believe the order as to how they appear is important because it is causing some challenges for mapping. Prior to adding in the additional lineup (DTV Omaha), my lineups consisted of the following, UK, DTV USA and DTV Bakersfield again in that order. Prior to eliminating the DTV USA lineup I started mapping my USA channels to DTV Bakersfield and saving them as I went along. I then eliminated DTV USA thinking that my mapping to DTV Bakersfield was completed. I saved everything, closed out NPVR and restarted my PC. I started to check the mapping and was surprised to see that my mappings were actually mapped to DTV Omaha and not DTV Bakersfield. Although the mapping were correct, they were mapped to the incorrect geographical lineup.

So, my observation is that it appears a mapping does not "stick" to the lineup you map to especially if you have another DTV lineup that precedes the correct geographical lineup (DTV Omaha versus DTV Bakersfield). I don't think it matters too much when it comes to national DTV channels but it does matter when one is mapping "local" channels. I say this because studying the DTV lineups side by side I can see that they are exactly alike save for the "local" channels. So before I go and eliminate another lineup I would like some clarification on how NPVR internally maps/assigns or chooses what lineup to use if in fact NPVR is not using the lineup the user has selected. This is the exact problem that is happening to me!! OMG please help!! haha

So in short: Using integrated SchedulesDirect JSON within nextpvr... I need a few different lineups added in there. So so instance I have an LA Station (West Coast) and NY Station (East Coast)
I will map my east channels to NY station and West to LA station. But here is where it gets tricky... say the NY station is first in the lineup list, all of my channel mappings use the NY Station and completely ignore my LA stations mapping. Its like it "defaults" to the top channel lineup... exact same issue as snaitaz above. The mapped channels default to the top lineup in your list.

I was able to reproduce this issue on 3 various SD accounts and with a few different versions of nextpvr.. I know this is a simple fix but I have not been able to fix. I have deleted everything including in registry, deleted .db3 database, wiped and reinstalled and I still cannot get past this issue. Thank you so much!

For now, just don't hit 'ok' button if you view a channel details, unless you've made sure to reset the correct mapping. Otherwise if you leave the channel details screen alone, then it's not going to lose your mappings.

ok i lost you. I am in the channel details, select the NY lineup and channel and then click "OK" then when I come by into the app, its set as the LA lineup (first lineup in list)... are you saying even if you set this to correct channels and save it, it may not show the correct lineup in the details but its mapped correctly? BC I am sure I tested this and the mapped channels were wrong for the EAST/WEST coast.

So how would I map the correct channels using schedules direct initially without channel details. I am only doing local and movie channels. I use the provided EPG for the rest of channels.

It'll correctly save whatever mapping you select when you hit ok, and when you do an EPG update, it'll pull in listings for that channels. It's only a bug where it's not correctly showing the current mapping when you go back into details screen (which becomes a problem if you then hit 'ok' since it'll save whatever it had defaulted to when you came back into this screen).

You can probably also do it from the Bulk Mappings screen instead if you need to.

Ok, thanks again. I will do the initial setup and map the channels and just make sure to not go back into the channel details so they dont change. Thanks for your help and again thanks for the amazing app!
