When I select "Video" on the Main Menu screen, I want it to go directly to the preview screen...Currently, it goes to the preview screen after 2 clicks on the remote.

Update: I removed list.xml from Video Archive folder and renamed Preview.xml to list.xml...that seems to work Smile

You can also set this via the config app. On the Display tab there is a setting on the lower left that says "Initial Display Mode" and gives two options "List" and "Preview". List is the default. Selecting preview will give you what you want, and what yo uin effect did by renaming the two skin files.

Jeff,

Been using video archiver for a while now and think it's great. I do have one request for your consideration. In list mode it would be nice to have a sort option which shows, at the same time, the current and pending recordings by show name. Perhaps the current recordings could be one color and the pending recordings could be another color. Currently I have to go back and forth from "Recordings" to "Pending Recordings" to identify and delete pending recordings which are duplicates. I think this feature would be a nice complement to the auto-prune recordings option. I'm not sure if this is feasible or if this makes sense. Anyway, thanks again for a great plugin.

Just curious, as i am almost done making changes for the BlueMCE2 skin. Then i saw you posted this new update. Smile

Looking at the file dates, the only one I have touched recently is the Disk Space Dialog skin, which was modified August 3. I think this was when I added the ability to specify color names for the various slices in the disk space pie chart, although I can't recall for sure. If you don't have the color names section in the skin it will use defaults and work just fine.

Thx Jeff... I should be ok then, didn't realize how nice this plugin was until i started to explore all the options available via the coloured remote buttons Smile

Its great that the skin has so much control over the plugin. Nicely done Smile

New version posted on the wiki site at http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/VideoArchive

Here is a summary of the changes:
  • List of pending recordings now includes a category for conflicts
  • Added support for fetching show images from epgguides.com. By default it will first look here, then TV.com, and finally imdb.com
  • Updated GetTVInfo.exe utility to be tolerant of paths/drives that are specified yet not present.
  • Added grid view option to skin. See the community skin files “preview skin 2.xml” and “preview skin 3.xml” for some examples. The video archive plug-in should now be skinable to look like any of the display modes of XRecord or the MyVideos plug-in.
  • Added @Description tag to directory and file items. See the community skin “list view 3.xml” and “preview view skin 4.xml” for examples.

I have posted lots of updated screen shots if you want to see some example of what is possible with the new skin options. You can download the examples (for use with the community skin) right below the download for the plug-in itself. The release is backwards compatible with old skins so there is no need to update skins unless you want to use the new features.

Jeff, there are a few lines missing from the baseskin.xml file in your theme.

They mostly revolve around this:

Code:
<TextStyle name="[color=Red]ListTextPlaying[/color]" color="[color=Red]ListPlaying[/color]" typeFace="Arial" size="13" style="bold" />
<TextStyle name="[color=Red]IconTextPlaying[/color]" color="[color=Red]ListPlaying[/color]" typeFace="Arial" size="12" style="bold" />
<TextStyle name="[color=Red]ListTextUnseen[/color]" color="[color=Red]ListUnseen[/color]" typeFace="Arial" size="13" style="bold" />
<TextStyle name="[color=Red]IconTextUnseen[/color]" color="[color=Red]ListUnseen[/color]" typeFace="Arial" size="12" style="bold" />

There are some xml's that use these textstyles.

Do you want me to bundle your theme in the distribution?

Thanks. If you are happy with the changes, feel free to bundle it with the real community skin installer.
