That confused me initially too. Basically it'll move on to the next frequencies if it hasn't received any new listings for 6 seconds. The idea behind this was to move to the next frequency when it has received all the listings, rather than no listings.

It might be worth opening the HDHomeRun's web app, and see if the tuner is locked, and sending data when you attempt this EPG update. A screen shot from this when scanning vs watching a channel would probably help me get to the bottom of it.

HDHomeRun software gives me degraded videos with my Radeon, so I normaly don't use it, but here's two captures:

00.jpg: Openning 2 channels with VLC and then starting the EPG Update, no error
01.jpg: Openning 1 channel with VLC, starting the EPG update, and then HD HomeRun, no error (should have said busy I suppose ?)
If I open 2 channels with VLC and then start HD HomeRun, it says that all tuners are busy as expected

Sorry, I was meaning the hdhomerun web app, where it shows the tuner frequency and signal lock etc. A screenshot like this while it's updating the EPG will hopefully tell me if it's locked onto a signal, and using the right frequency etc.

You don't maybe have some firewall/antivirus software running that could be blocking udp traffic from the device to NextPVR?

It looks like it's sending the data, but NextPVR isn't receiving it.

No firewall installed, I don't see what could block trafic.

During EPG Update I see an additionnal udp port (8020) listening.

Code:
user@debian:~$ netstat -vanu
Connexions Internet actives (serveurs et établies)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Adresse locale          Adresse distante        Etat
udp        0      0 0.0.0.0:16891          0.0.0.0:*
udp        0      0 0.0.0.0:34427          0.0.0.0:*
udp        0      0 0.0.0.0:8020            0.0.0.0:*
udp        0      0 0.0.0.0:1901            0.0.0.0:*
udp        0      0 0.0.0.0:68              0.0.0.0:*
udp        0      0 0.0.0.0:5353            0.0.0.0:*
udp6      0      0 :::5353                :::*
udp6      0      0 :::49462                :::*

Checking from a remote computer gives:

Code:
D:\Scripts\PortQryV2>PortQry.exe -n 192.168.1.3 -e 8020 -p udp

Querying target system called:

192.168.1.3

It's not really clear to me why it's not getting any EPG data, but I've added some more logging to give me more info.

Try updating your NShared.dll to the attached, restart, enable verbose logging, then do that Update EPG again, then post the logs.

Here's the logs.
One tuner was in use at time of this EPG Update. If required, I can renew when all tuners will be available.

<repeated for other channels>

Attached logs if it helps- note I did have SD direct enabled before 12:07 but getting some strange behaviour with it as well )worked fine on another machine but only downloading a small fraction of guide on this one).

Haven't used updated dll.

It looks like it's giving up after 5 seconds on each frequency because it hasn't received any listings by then.

Can you go to the Settings->About page, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, then click 'Enable Verbose', then click 'update epg'. Let it complete, then post the logs.
