Please retry. Well for what it's worth, replacing just the .exe file sorted the high usage in the menus for me BUT causes a ridiculous delay in trying to play any channel or recording, so I've had to revert that file back to the originally installed one. Replacing the NextPVRUI.dll in the NextPVR folder has no effect on anything. Replacing the NextPVRUI.dll in the client folder causes a .net framework error upon running the app, followed by the error shown in the attached screenshot...so I've reverted that file too. I did unblock all files after placing them in their respective folders. I see high usage when playing a recording created by NPVR when using VLC, WMP and the Windows 10 built-in movies & TV (or whatever it's called). I frequently play MKVs, MP4s and so on using Kodi and the GPU is barely tickled. Interestingly I had some WTV files left over from my previous installation of MCE and when playing those using VLC and so on, they also generate quite high usage. Whether that highlights anything or not - no idea, you're the guru, but it seems too coincidental that they're both PVR-generated content exhibiting the same issue. My CPU is an Intel i7-3770k and my GPU is an Nvidia GTX 970 Strix OC, so not current but not lacking in the capability department by any means. Thanks again in advance. e-charge

I've attached the aforementioned error messages to this post. When I click to "Continue" on the first, I'm then presented with the second. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software with the option to retain the user settings selected but still with no joy. I haven't tried a clean install yet in case there's a more obvious fix you can suggest which saves me having to configure everything again. Thanks again in advance for your help. e-charge

It might be worth you trying a clean install since you're the only person reporting that error. Just in case you've got some incorrect combination of files.
What screen where you on when you got those error messages? Was it just at startup on the main menu, or after switching to something like the guide?

That's literally all that appears for me when clicking to run the client app. I dismiss those and nothing happens past that point. e-charge

Ok, try reinstall. If it doesn't help, we'll look at next steps.

What if you add the -nogl command line parameter to NextPVR.exe

Evenin' all So a quick update: I performed the suggested clean reinstall and all has been working perfectly. I've just spent a few hours today (on and off in-between work bits) reconfiguring everything to my liking. All GPU and CPU utilisation figures have been sensible and everything has been running smoothly. The last thing I did was change the menu layout to "Vertical" and now the client won't open again, displaying the same error messages as before. In the short term, is there a way for me to tweak a config file somewhere to set this back to the standard layout again? For what it's worth, I can confirm that it was OK with the "Horizontal" layout as I set it to that prior to changing my mind and setting it to "Vertical". Thanks in advance. e-charge
