When you have the filter on and you click rescan on the Device pagr did you see any traffic on Wireshark?

This build adds a few additional verbose logging messages around the device discovery.

After installing, and restarting, you need to go to the Settings->About page, hold Ctrl key, then click the Verbose Logging button that appears. Then head to the Devices page and hit Rescan. Then post the new logs.

I copied the DLL to c:\program files\NextPVR, then

Started NPVRTray.exe -> started NextPVR Service -> Web app -> Devices -> Rescan -> Save logs and Wireshark data

That seems like a filtered Wireshark log but not filtered on the correct settings.

It also looks like you didn't turn on verbose logging before during the scan.

You need to do that step for enable verbose logging before hitting the rescan button.

Martin-
I could not apply your suggested filter as an input filter. Wireshark rejects it. Wireshark did allow the filter as a display filter. The only input filter i used was udp.

Should I try something else?

sub- That step didn't occur to me. Is that a setting in config.xml?

The display filter is fine if nothing is happening you know there is a problem. Run the SD utility to see what you should see.

Sub explained how to turn on verbose mode earlier

What is the SD utility? The only SD I know is Schedules Direct.

New verbose logs attached. (Glossed right over sub's instruction. Blush )

I might need to give you a new build with a tweak to that logging, so we can see the address it sent to. We can see it tried to send the UDP discovery though, skipping a few non-Ethernet network devices, but sending to one.

(sorry - busy next couple of hours)
