As I said I don't know if you are running a bash shell so I can't help you too much. One way or the other to run sed you have to be in the folder with the file, NextEnd.deps.json or it won't find the input file.

I guess it would be confusing Docker is supposed to be an appliance not tweaked like a true OS might be, since people usually know the OS they use.

apologies I should have said, I am running a bash shell.

EDIT:

I have used cd to move to the directory I created in bash and run the command again, it returned no error so I think this may have worked.

I am back to this error when creating symbolic link

ln: failed to create symbolic link 'runtimes/linux-x64/native/libe_sqlite3.so': File exists

Ok then you should be able to

cd /config/Plugins/NextEnd
sed -i 's/\"\/\"/\"\/app\/\"/g' NextEnd.deps.json
dotnet NextEnd.dll --eventoid 1234

on the third command it returns:

An assembly specified in the application dependencies manifest (NextEnd.deps.json) was not found:
    package: 'Newtonsoft.Json', version: 'Newtonsoft.Json'
    path: 'Newtonsoft.Json.dll'

if you run cat NextEnd.deps.json does path show as

"path": "/app/",

If it doesn't sed didn't work. Use the wiki one to make sure you copy space properly.

It seems sed didnt work, however I am copying and pasting the command directly from the docker.

Could the command have a syntax issue?

I used the command myself when I created the wiki and did a Docker install. Just tried again and it worked again.

What does cat NextEnd.deps.json show? Perhaps you copied the wrong sed command first? I don't need the screen shots.

When I run it in /app it says no such file or directory... so the install clearly isnt working Sad I cant see anything wrong with my sed command though...

cat: NextEnd.deps.json: No such file or directory
