It reports as 1,022,389KB. Interestingly enough, check out the timestamps on the files. The TS and thumbnails file (renamed to .thumbnails) both list 30 May at 10:12, while the timings (.xtimings) lists 10:39.

Yes that confirms the data stopped being delivered at the 12 minute mark like you noted. I don't know why the file was closed by DeviceHostWindows with no error. Is V: drive a local hard disk?

Yes, V: is a 2TB rotating HDD (7200 RPM) installed in the case and connected to a SATA plug on the MB - not USB or networked. The same behavior has been observed with NextPVR installed on both system drives (M.2 NVME - C: and D: and the SATA HDD - V: ). I prefer the recordings on the older HDD as a means of reducing the read/write cycles on the NVME drive.

Running the EPG update manually first thing this morning to fill in the guide. Then we will see how recording and tuners behave throughout the day.

Manual and timed are the same, but if you are trying to be safer you should also restart the server to close DeviceHostWindows when it finishes.

We have a winner. No recording or viewing Live TV this morning. The system interrupts are at 7% following the EPG update. Sure enough, when I open the desktop app, it is unable to show Live TV. It returns the device failed to start message. Any recordings will fail now, until the system is rebooted. The updated log file is attached. Planning to reboot the system after this post.
Would unchecking the "Update existing channel numbers during scan" box make any difference?

I'll stick with my first recommendation to try another EPG source. A future version of NextPVR will have ATSC EPG changes which might help so there is not point in sub looking at it deeply now. The problem might be NextPVR but it could also be drivers, power management etc so it might not get resolved.
It's certainly not worth my time continuing this discussion either just to save you a cup of coffee a month just to get crappy guide data. If you want to spend your time better maybe try some potentially free alternatives I pointed you to on the wiki. Martin

Appreciate the replies Martin. I will look into the guide alternatives and review the wiki again, thank you. I will also run for a few days with only manual EPG updates to see if the tuner corruption occurs while the tuners are recording.
Never intended to waste your time, nor anyone else's. Only trying to understand the issue and determine if a resolution is possible. Glad to buy you a cup of coffee if our paths ever cross.

Spoke too soon. The problem happened again this evening, even with no EPG update happening. The tuner wasn't in use and failed to start the recording for the 10:00 news. Time to get the USB tuner back out and disable the PCIe card.
