You and slayer (who is also using a non-DVB card) have a different problem than the other posts in this thread.

No. I dont know, but I suspect its just a problem with the mux filter.

How often are you getting 0 byte recordings (percentage)?

Did have the showshifter app installed on system, but that just broke the machine , so uninstalled. I couldn't figure out which files to keep for the mux

I set 4 progs to record last saturday. The 1st was ok, the second was a 0kb which stopped the other two recording.

Sunday was ok with 3 recordings.

Monday, 2 0kb test recordings

Wednesday, watched while a 10pm recording started, saw it was a 0kb, so quickly rebooted & it went off ok.

4 successful recordings today.

Previous to last week it had been behaving perfectly for a few months

When the next version is released I'll format & reinstall with a fresh setup

I suspect its something to do with the mux filter. Hopefully a newer version of the cyberlink filter will appear that addresses the problem.

I just tried, unfortunately it seems to want more, i.e missing libraries.

its off topic probably for these guys, but re: your post #16, my 0kb recording was after i resumed from a hibernate. if I record from fresh power-up it works. So i conclude hibernating my machine causes the pvr-350 card to lock up or similar.

must be that via mobo again....drat it should have got the commell...

I think I've solved my 0kb problem.
I replaced mpgmux v5.0.0.727 with v4.0.0.2122 last weekend & so far I havent had a 0kb recording. I'm keeping my fingers crossed
