I am having similar play-back issues only with recent recordings. Older recordings are playing fine. I replaced the NPVRtsReader5.ax with the one posted on this thread by Sub, but no improvement.

Same process, upload a sample file to an external source and provide a link that we can check it here.

Approximately what happens for you?

Did you have a .timing file in the same directory as that recording? If so, please provide that too.

That file is mpeg2 so not related the h264 fix. The bigger issue is it is very poor quality lot of continuitye erors so I would check the signal.

the .timing file is an empty file.

Martin is correct - this recording has millions of continuity errors (indicating entirely missing packets), and millions of TEI errors (set by your tuner to indicate corrupt packets being received). Essentially, the whole file is garbage, and nothing NextPVR could do is going to make this recording play smoothly.
Quote:I am having similar play-back issues only with recent recordings. Older recordings are playing fine.Basically, something has happened to your reception. Maybe check the antenna is still on the roof, and pointing the right general direction, and that you haven't added additional splitters.

It would seem that you are correcct about the signal. I had replaced an older antenna preamp last weekend with a newer model that was providing more gain. Apparently, I over-loaded my tuner. I have now removed a distribution amplifier that was in the line and replaced it with a splitter. The channel I was recording is closer to me with a stronger signal than the other channels, which are further away and not as strong. Getting rid of the distribution amplifier fixed the problem. I appreciate the help, and I really enjoy using NextPVR.
