Pilot, I got the wintv radio32 to work with my Pvr-150 MCE on Win XP Home Sp2. Maybe you got a bad card?

But still working on the GBG-PVR radio, I can't seem to locate the reg.bat file... I search my entire hard drive and nothing...

Quote:Well, gbPVR is back to saying that there is no tuner available when I select the FM Radio plugin.
Are you sure you selected the card type as PVR150MCE not PVR150? When you try to start the FM radio, GB-PVR just goes through the list of capture sources you've added, checking the SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO setting in direct.ini based on the name of the card you've selected.

If it doesnt find any cards that have the "SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=1" setting, then it shows you the "no tuner available" message. The only other reason you could be getting the message, is because the card is currently recording something.

If you look in direct.ini, the PVR150 has "SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=0" wheras the PVR150MCE has "SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=1".

I recommend double checking you've selected the correct card type.

They reg.bat was previously included in the LAME encoder from http://www.elecard.com/ftp/pub/directsho..._dshow.zip, but I see they updated this file on the 1st of August and it no longer has this.

Instead, just run:
regsvr32 c:\your\path\to\lame.ax

Augh! All this trouble for an option that, if the truth be known, I care about the least out of all the features offered by GB-PVR! I found out the reason for why it said no tuner was available -- somehow during the process of simply configuring the FM Radio Plugin, all of my settings were wiped out  -- the tuner card, channels, the recording history, schedule, etc. Now I'm wishing I hadn't messed with it at all! Sad Oh, well. That's what I get for dinking around. Yeah, I think I'll just leave the FM Radio Plugin alone now...it doesn't seem to be very happy on my system....

Anyway, after reconfiguring the tuner, the EPG, etc., I did dare to click on the FM Radio button in GB-PVR, and it's now back to just playing audio from what TV channel it defaults to with LiveTV.

Not sure why you're able to get the Hauppauge WinTV Radio app working, Zenner -- you must just be holding your mouth right!

Ok, I'm getting somewhere... I ran the regsvr32 and got a message that it succeeded. Now I click on the FM radio button, I get "You must have the LAME MP3 audio encoder installed to use FM radio" I thought I just did that... Maybe the newest version of Lame is no good?

Yes, I suspect they've changed something.

Does anyone have an older version of lame.ax? Or should I wait until there is a fix?

Pilot, I think you got a bad card, and wonder if you could return it for a new one...

I've downloaded the new lame.ax and can confirm it's not compatible with GB-PVR.

I've modified the next release so that it'll work with it.

I think there's something wrong with my current computer config. Prior to the 150MCE I had a KWorld card in there that also had a FM tuner. It worked fine for a long time, but then when I tried it right before buying the 150MCE, I noticed the FM tuner no longer worked on it either. Seems a bit coincidental.

I had weird software problems with the 150MCE initially. I was planning on using Intervideo WinDVR 3 instead of Hauppauge's WinTV2000 app. I didn't know that WinDVR 3 is not compatible with the 150MCE because it doesn't have an audio out to plug in to the sound card's line-in. Since WinDVR 3 wouldn't work, I uninstalled it, and that killed WinTV2000, too. I couldn't get audio or video displayed in WinTV2000, but I could still change channels, record, and the MPEG file played back fine in Windows Media Player. After trying several things without success (including a complete wipe and reinstall of the 150MCE drivers and associated apps), I reinstalled WinDVR 3 again and then WinTV2000 worked fine again. Turned out that uninstalling WinDVR 3 was also taking the Intervideo decoder with it, too. I uninstalled WinDVR 3 again and then reinstalled the Intervideo decoder from Hauppauge, and now everything on the TV side is working fine. I still think there's some configuration file, dll, etc., that's preventing an FM tuner from working on my system. I would just scrap the whole thing and reinstall WinXP, but I don't have the time to devote to that these days.

Something weird (and probably simple) is going on, for sure.
