When I try fetching the series information on "The Office (US)", I get a pop-up error box that says:
Code:
Run-time error '62':
Input past end of file
Here is the log information from that:
Code:
2/15/2008 9:30:45 AM : Checking C:\EPG\UltraXMLTV\xmltv.xml
2/15/2008 9:30:46 AM : Loading C:\EPG\UltraXMLTV\xmltv.xml
2/15/2008 9:30:47 AM : Finished loading file in 1.296875 seconds.
And here is the xml file (The Office (US).Series.xml) it generates:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>

<Items>
<Item>
<id>73244</id>
<SeriesName>The Office (US)</SeriesName>
<SeriesID>22343</SeriesID>
<Status>Continuing</Status>
<FirstAired>2005-03-24</FirstAired>
<Network>NBC</Network>
<Runtime>30 mins</Runtime>
<Genre>|Comedy|</Genre>
<Actors>Jenna Fischer| B.J. Novak| John Krasinski| Rainn Wilson| Steve Carell| Kate Flannery| Angela Kinsey| Phyllis Smith</Actors>
<Overview>Based on the popular British series of the same name, this faster-paced American version follows the daily interactions of a group of idiosyncratic office employees via a documentary film crew's cameras.

Regional manager Michael (Steve Carell, The Daily Show) thinks he's the coolest, funniest, best boss ever - which, of course, makes him the uncoolest, most obnoxious and annoying boss as far as his staff is concerned. His co-worker Jim (John Krasinski, Kinsey) lusts after engaged receptionist Pam (Jenna Fischer, Miss Match) when he's not sabotaging his cube-mate, the know-it-all Dwight (Rainn Wilson, Six Feet Under).Ryan Howard (B.J. Novak, Punk'd) is a young, smart

This is with the second opinion unchecked, if that matters.

It looks like the <Overview> tag is one giant line, which UltraXMLTV doesn't seem to like.

P.S. - What does the 'Q' button on the Config Episodes used for?

I will look into it.. Wanna ask, Does your EPG actually say "(US)" Here in Canada, the show is just called The Office.

I'll check the 'overview' parsing. Generally, that shouldn't be a problem. All the other shows TVdb info has super long lines too...

The Q button stands for Query and is a shortcut to test if a Title and Episode combination will get Season/Episode numbers from the data already downloaded.

If you manually enter 'Star Trek' and 'The Cage' then press Q, it should get you S01E00. Not really for average users..

My EPG just says "The Office" as well. When I just put "The Office" into the Series text box, UltraXMLTV says, "The series name is not a perfect match for TVdb.com."

So when I put "The Office (US)" into the Series text box, that is when I get the error.

"I Love Lucy" does the same thing, and it is in my EPG as that title as well.

I just tried "The Office (US)" and I had an exact match and all the episodes filling in. I haven't tried adding that to the rename list...

I hope you are using the latest version.

Logging obviously hasn't been developed for that action.

So questions: what OS, EPG source?

I am using version 1.1.0.43, which I believe is the latest.

EPG is from SchedulesDirect
OS: Windows XP Pro SP2

I'm not loading the Series name from the EPG though, I am just manually typing in the name and then pressing "Add to Fetch List"

I don't think my DNS is working correctly, as I can't load up the TVDB website... I will try again a little later this evening.

Maybe it's something that you configured. Send me your UltraXMLTV_RegSettings.txt and I'll see what you selected and maybe see if it's something you shouldn't have done...

It really sounds though, that it might be time getting the computer fixed up. If MCE won't load properly, and the Downloader won't work, then the MCE2XML downloader/converter (it's not a scraper) may not be the right choice for you... And that means, UltraXMLTV is the least of your problems...

Thanks, for looking at the file. I have decided to go with schedules direct. i have formated the computer and I am starting all over again! I will try UltraXMLTV when I get everything working again.

You had mentioned in another thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...les+direct about doing channel mapping for Expressvu. Did you ever do that or are you planning on doing it? It takes a long time to map all those channels to the EPG.

Thanks again

OK... So help me out. Tell me what you are doing manually right now, and I'll think how to do it programmatically...

Ok, when I am setting up my capture source (I am using a DVB-S card) and update the EPG then click on map channels to EPG and scan all the channels on the satellite. None of the channels map to the EPG.

So I have to do it manually. The channel number in the scanned channels from the satellite are not in the usual place they are in the P: value.

I am not at home right now, so I can not give you a sample of the scan-x file (all the channels on the satellite) but when I get home I can post it if it will help.

I hope you understand what I am trying to say as I am going by memory.

Thanks
