Is there any chance of having the "Keep x Number of Recordings" feature added to the web inteface? That would be really handy.

what are the values of RecordingsDirectory and LiveTVDirectory in your config? Are they local or remote drives?

You can set a reoccuring recordning to only keep x recordings sya 5 and when number 6 is recorded - the oldest one is deleted.

I have set this to news which I record everyday.

Handy feature - though it does not work for me though - must test more...

go into the built in recordings - repeated shows and update an exitsting show - who can then see keep - which has the values all, 1,2,3,4,5.

also works int the tvguide if you choose repoccuring

When you open the details for a show like you're going to record it, the top option gives you the choice of:
1) record this single instance
2) record all shows with this name
3) record all shows with this name in this timeslot
(the wording is different, but you get the idea)

When you select options 2 and 3 another option pops up at the bottom allowing you to choose how many episodes to keep (1-5).

It was a new feature as of .08 and sub fixed a bug in it as of .11. Works great for me.

ahh, yes. I found it now. I'll have to look and see how/if there's an interface to do it.

Changed it to local drives, works great.

cool, I tried to get it to work with remote mapped drives, but the Management objects didn't want to play nicely. (If anyone has some ideas, let me know)

btw: what were your directories? were they mapped drives (l: ) or unc paths (\\machine\share\)
