Some updates....



When you were last helping me I had replaced Ubuntu with a fresh install of Linux Mint and you were helping me get NextEnd up and running. I had tried to install Debian but was having trouble with channel scanning and because I was going to be out of town for the next couple of days and had limited time to trouble shoot I went with Mint. Now that I am back I solved the problem with Debian. I can dual boot but, I am running Debian with NextPVR and NextEnd both working correctly.



The fix for Debian was adding

create file
/etc/modprobe./cx23885.conf
options cx23885 dma_reset_workaround=2

Now when I run

sudo -u nextpvr /opt/dotnet/dotnet /var/opt/nextpvr/Plugins/NextEnd/NextEnd.dll --eventoid 1234

I get the correct output

NEXTPVR_DATADIR /var/opt/nextpvr/Plugins/NextEnd/data/
NEXTPVR_DATADIR_USERDATA /var/opt/nextpvr/

I thought you would like to know. Since I still have Mint installed if you are dying to know why the output was different than expected let me know and we (you) can let me know what to try.

I missed the end of the 49ers game today with NextEnd running.

I'd of course need to see the logs before looking into this

I thought there might be a problem with the logs. I drop them in and get a checkmark, but they don't show up. I created the logs with the NextPVR program, do you have any suggestions?

Maybe my zip is too big. I zipped just the nextend files and the upload worked.

Here are the device-adapter logs.

Well that failed as well. 2.2mb in size is too big I guess. I attached only the device-adapter?.log

NextEnd did it's part it should have been extended, I'd have to see the other server side logs.

If your logs are bigger than 2MB you need external site storage

The API said the game was over

so NextEnd stopped extending it and NextPVR closed it a few minutes later

It should be extended by 26 minutes though, since data kept streaming right to the end

Could the problem be watching the in-progress recording? After it finished did it show correctly?

I did watch as recording. Unfortunately I deleted thinking it ended too soon.
