hrm, i have to admit that the size of your video was fine on my pc, just the sound was totally messed. I think try and follow up with the moonlight support people to get it sorted out?
Now that I have the recorder working, I have a few more issues to settle:
1. The picture is blue. (I tried tinkering with the Hue setting in direct.ini, but that didn't seem to help.)
2. I don't know how much Moonlight costs. (I'll find out when I email the company.)
3. I can't get my AverMedia remote control to work with GB-PVR. The remote control works with the software provided by AverMedia, but that AverMedia software is for viewing video on a computer screen. It's not very usable for viewing on a TV screen, the way GB-PVR is. I have a Hauppauge remote control, but that doesn't seem to work either with AverTV Studio card's IR sensor.)
Any ideas?
Thanks.
bburd:
1. the wdm recorder doesn't read direct.ini
2. i wish i could find a free mpeg2 encoder that will work with gb-pvr :-(
3. hrm, i'm not clued up on avermedia, nor hauppauge. You should post the topic separatly somewhere else on the forum and see if someone with access to these devices can help.
tipstir: can you send me logs of LiveTV in timeshift mode? it seems that the logs only have LiveTV in preview mode and full recording mode.
the mainconcept encoder will only encode to it's own file, not a file that gb-pvr controls. How is livetv fixed using ffshow? can you send some logs of livetv in timeshift mode. I'd like to compare LiveTV timeshift versus bluk standard recording.
is this preview or timeshift mode? Remembering that you are using the default encoder settings (which i think are around 400x400, and i'm not sure about the quality)
(if you can send the logs) it sounds like to me that something is not working right with your card with the moonlight encoder. See if you can mess around with GraphEdit to join up the filters (try rendering the output pin of the video capture card). See if you can get it to hang like gb-pvr does?
yea, as i said something between your capture card and the moonlight encoders (in fact it could be other filters on your system too) is causing it to hang when it tries to render the capture device to the muxer via the encoder. I will have a look at if i can make this process occur in a more manual way to see if we can debug it better. (when i have time)
