No worries! This is still the best PVR software in existance and the amount of work you put in to it is always appreciated - bugs or not Smile

Hi sub,

Saw that you were waiting on a transport stream file. How big a file would you need and would it help if I used TS Reader (lite) to save a file for you?

Can you guys please try the attached patch? It seems to load the complete EPG for me with the sample daneo supplied.

You should also have applied this patch from earlier in this thread: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...stcount=13

For those that have changed it in the past, you shouldnt need to have the <DvbEpgHarvestDuration> setting set to anything more than 60. I seem to get a complete EPG after about 25 seconds with the attached patch on daneo's file.

Hi Sub,

the patch works quite well -- all of the data is back.

I did come across some issues with one transponder "breaking" your handling of special characters. I've included a copy of what I see in IE on my EPG -- if you look at KABEL1 you see the move by Spielberg -- the character should be "ä" instead of "tm".

Similarly, on SAT.1 you see missing "ü" in Bürgermeister and "Kühltransporter", and the "tm" problem is there as well.

Strangely enough, they share the same transponder with N24, and it has troubles too. For example "Überraschungsangriff" on N24 and in the 2nd IE file "Gröstädten".

However -- excellent job. I'm happy to see all my channels back again. Please let me know if I can help with any of the character issues.

Regards,
Dane

Thats great. If you do an 'empty EPG' first, followed by an 'update EPG', is the guide pretty much full? ie, no significant gaps?

Hi Sub,

I've good very good coverage out until about Saturday. Beyond that, it gets spotty, but I think this is normal on a channel-by-channel basis depending on what they deliver.

The extended descriptions are also very nice.

I think that the character issues (öäüß) can most likely wait until the next release -- they're cosmetic rather than critical.

Many thanks for the good work!

I wouldnt expect it to. I'm not aware of any XMLTV problem though. If you zip and attach your XMLTV file, I'll take a look. Its probably something wrong in the file which is stopping it from loading.

Great, this is pretty good then. Thanks for the help testing and for the transport stream file.

Ladies and Gentelmen - I think we have a fix!!!! (managed to sneak a bit of latenight 'puter time in Smile). Thanks for the hard work Sub.
I'll contraversially stick my neck out here and disagree with you (eek! ) about the 25 second harvest time - I set it down to 40secs following your comment and got a tiny spattering of data. Putting it back to my prefered 100secs got me about 75% - about normal for me for a first scan and I expect it should fill up OK over the next few days. I'm sure it's country and/or hardware specific, I only wish I could get it down to 25 seconds - it would make these complete reloads a hell of a lot quicker....
Anyway, thanks again - I feel another donation is now due.....
