Phew!. I understand your grief. I'm running 3 hauppauge tuners 150/150/250 on a P4 1.8 celeron (ASUS P4GE MB, 512MB, ati9200LE, 2xWD 200gig). I migrated it all from a ASUS P5GD1 (P4 3 h/t, 2gig dual channel ddr, 6600GT OC PCI-e, 4x160 sata raid) and had no trouble with either installation.
What I did on each was this:
- wiped drives clean, then a virgin install of xp pro.
- mb drivers (usb, gigabit lan etc.)
- video card driver
- pvr 250 driver etc.
- gbpvr & associated toys
* ran the system for a couple days and recorded a little to ensure everything was groovy.
- installed the first 150. repeat the * step
- installed the second 150. repeat the * step
It's been running for over four months now without a hiccup not counting a bout with a software driven ATSC HDTV card (oy! don't go there!). I have NOTHING else installed on the pvr except anti-virus. Virtually everything else is either uninstalled (xp features and processes) or disabled (serial port, etc).
Hiccups started crawling into the system (random reboots) until I put in an enermax 500w power supply.
All that said, I guess I've been darn lucky ?
