No, not yet, but I'm intending to move my technotrend DVB-C card from my bedroom PC into my development PC, and install the latest drivers to see if I can get any different behaviour closer to what you're seeing, but I havnt found the time yet to do this - been a busy the last couple of days.

One thing I did see the other night on the MVP I think I tried watching a channel that had been recorded earlier in the day and the machine hadn't been used since.

Iit worked in normal time (then I stopped and reboot like this thread was orignally). But it did work.....

But then after the mvp rebooted, I couldn't get back in to watch the channel. Kept doing the same 1 minute 30 or so to start writing to the file.

I've taken to "recording" what I want to watch then starting up playback 1 to 2 minutes after startup.

Not sure if this is useful, but got home tonight, went to life tv, and no picture (or sound came up). Maybe similar.

Restart gbpvr.exe at 19:53 then tried play key from tv guide on E!

No reply neccesary.

Hey just to revist this and put in some more info. I think sub suggested i try a machine that didn't have Windows MCE on it.

Tested that today withe the MVP and it was working fine. So I guess sub was right, something in the Windows MCE causing problems with the muxs/decoders that means when recording from a DVB-C card it takes a long time to start creating the file. On XP (SP2) it starts creating the file pretty much straight away.

Might have to try again on the MCE machine now that I've done it a couple of times....or else it's rebuild time!!!
