Two forward, one back.

Have the ripping runing on one machine, thought OK, lets set it up on the other machine.

No go !

I also tried it on a few other bits of machines I have,

seems the ripping only works if your DVD drive is drive D.
I can play the dvd's on all the machines using gbpvr, so the config knows where the dvd drive is. Does the ripper assume D drive ?

No; it is supposed to search your machine for a DVD in a drive on startup and thereafter and auto detect them as they are added or removed. The current DVD in the drive shows up on the uppoer right corner of the window. If there is nothing shown there it means nothing has been detected. You can also look at the dvd2mpeg.log file to see what is going on. I have 2 DVD drives on my machine at home (one real and one virtual through daemontools) and I have used them both with the plug-in going back and forth between them.

Have you downloaded the updated plugin posted Nov 8? The log file should have more information than just this.

Did it put up an error message saying "There are no DVDs in any drive" Was there actually a DVD in drive F?

If you want to email directly we can try to work through this without clogged up the board with messages.

One more thought. When you go to "My Computer" under windows, what does it show as the name of the DVD in the drive?

Jeff,

would love to email,

but every time I try to register on this site, it says yep registered, but when I come to log in , it says user not found !

In answer to questions

Drive F , has a DVD in it, shows up as 6.4 G on size, and name cd drive (fSmile

OOI, my test movie is 'contact', and plays no problem using windvd,
