Program updated. (V0.30)

To users:
By the way, this was never intended as a permanent solution to the loss of zap2it data. For U.S. listings, I expect to switch over to using a Yahoo API grabber once a full-featured one exists with a decent UI, as their listings and details are transferred all in one file, unlike this one where many small downloads are necessary.

Hummm. I am still getting the 3 hour offset with V0.30. To try to fix it, I removed the 3 hour offset from GB-PVR, reloaded everything, rebooted, but it is still there. I am in the same timezone as whurlston (eastern time), and yes we observe daylight savings, if that will help.

This is basically the main change that was made. Check your xml output and confirm that they are al +0000? Maybe you two are using different GBPVR versions?

Kaspersky gives a warning and a squeal too. I almost jumped through the roof.

I checked the xml output at they were all at +0000. To make a long story short, I removed the MSN_XMLTV_scraper_V.30.exe file from the GB-PVR folder, and placed it in its own sub-folder. Then I recreated all the files and rescanned everything, and it is all working fine now. Apparently something was holding on to the old time, and that forced it to change.

Thanks for the help and the program. If and when you go to a successor program, please make sure it does not require MCE. I am using WinXP, and this is the only one I have found that works with it.

Don't mind me, I'm just an idiot. Version 30 works great. It's 28 that still doesn't put the +0000 :o

You could use the "Empty EPG" button in the GB-PVR Config before reloading the data (just for future reference).

I must be doing something wrong.
I've downloaded the MSN Listings scraper and set up a provider, selected the channels. The program runs and produces 2 files in the XML Temp folder:
MS_GridData.xml
MS_HeadEnds.xml
I tried looking at the files with IE and I can read the Head Ends files OK but the Grid Data causes IE to complain, "Switch from current encoding to specified encoding not supported". I can look at the file in Notepad, and it seems to make sense, but I know very little about XML.

I ran Configure, set up the EPG source to "XMLTV Plugin" and pointed to the Grid file. when I click "Update EPG" it runs for a few seconds, but no data appears - no channel listing in Configure, and no Guide in GBPVR.

I'm at a loss where to turn. Will someone please help?

Thanks
Walt

You are pointing to the wrong .xml file. In the same directory where MSN_XMLTV_scraper_V.30.exe (and the XMLTempFolder) is located there will be an .xml file for your cable company. In my case, it is "RCN Cable(E)B18104- XMLOut.xml", so it will look something like that.

Thanks for the app. I'm trying it for Canada but it fails to download any programs after the setup. If I select channel "200 & 201" nothing downloads and sometimes I get this COM error. However, if I select channel "50 & 51" something does download, but if I select "Download Detailed" as well, it gets the COM error.
