Just adding to the Wii love here Wink

RE:4 is great! Played through on easy (yeah so sue me!) and am now replaying on Normal.

Got Rayman, pretty good apart from an annoying bug that soured my experience until I looked it up (one minigame is unbeatable in 50Hz PAL mode).

Wii Sports comes out pretty much every time anyone comes over.

The only other problem I had is that my Wii started developing graphical glitches about a month after I got it. Rumour is that when put vertically on its stand, and with WiiConnect24 enabled, it toasts its own GPU *whilst switched "off"*.

Nintendo were very good about replacing my unit though so no problems there. Advice would seem to be to keep it horizontal.

Just picked up RE4 yesterday and man..I'm loving it! Add another great title to the RE Line-Up!

Edit:
*phew* Good thing I've always kept mine horizontal... It just seemed to look better that way with my setup.

Just sold my original xbox and bought a wii this past weekend - the thing is absolutely fantastic.

We have been having family 'tournaments' every night with sports (my wife, who is currently on maternity leave, is craftily practicing bowling while I'm at work) and it is so much fun to play together. I have a 360 as well, but that's just me mashing buttons when everyone else is out or in bed. I picked up the wii play for extra remote- the game is okay, but I can't see it coming out very often.

I have a question: What game would you recommend next? Something that is as much fun as sports, utilises the remote, and is fun for adults as well as for the nipper? I have been looking at wario ware or ravin rabbits; what do you guys think?

I don't have Raving Rabbits on the Wii - bought it for PC before I had a Wii. But it's a great game that just cracks me and my kids up whenever we play. I can only imagine how much more fun it might be on the Wii.

Yeah, I need a recommendation for the best Wii game for 5 and 6 year olds that utilizes the Wiimote, apart from Wii Sports. I feel RE4 is going to be too violent. My 5 year old son would love RE4 but he is already too much into play fighting and all, I want to round his interests. None of the gaming websites take kids much into consideration.

Well, seeing comments and price at Gamestop on Raving Rabbids I guess that is good enough. http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=230025

Costco? Ewe can get them sheeper than that, and with more ram and a longer sensor baaaar. Don't let them pull the wool over your eyes.

Ted the Penguin Wrote:you liked goldeneye didnt you?

it breaks tradition with FPS games where you have one method for movement, and one for looking.

It's been a long time since I played goldeneye. A looong time. Didn't it use the c-pad to control view?
