FWIW, the MPV decoder does support HD. I tested it out during my transition from Purevideo to AVIVO and it worked ok. Picture quality was on par with AVIVO except heavy smearing in low light panning shots.

Attatched is a draft doc on Instructions for Setting Up GB-PVR w/ HDHomerun and Popcornhour.

These are the steps I took in setting it up. I have not finished yet, but this gets you to the point of having GB-PVR and HDHomerun up and running. My next step is to integrate mvpmcx2.

If anyone else tries this, please let me know any updates you may have.

Hi!

A week ago I upgraded to GBPVR v1.2.9 and it didn't work out for me, so I went back to v1.0.16. I thought everything was OK, until I noticed today that my EPG wasn't updating. I got the same error message returned as earlier in this post (404 error for Schedules Direct). I logged onto Schedules Direct, no prob with either my UID or password being correct or working, and my account is in good standing. I deleted and added my channel lineup back in GBPVR config, still no joy. I went back to Schedules Direct and made a small change to my lineup (went from category to channel number listing) and saved it, deleted and re-added my EPG source again in GBPVR config, and I'm still getting the same error. I've attached my config.exe.log, please advise.

Thx!

Actually, my error is a little different - it's "Not Found" instead of "Not Authorized", WTH?

v1.0.16 was released prior to the Schedules Direct service going live. When they launched the service a few weeks later they changed the production URL. There was a GB-PVR patched released that same day that needed to be applied to make sure the 1.0.16 release could use that new URL (otherwise you'd get this 404 error). You'd have to do a forum search to try to find that patch.

Alternatively, v1.2.9 doesnt have this problem.

As per my post on http://www.networkedmediatank.com/viewto...6030#26030 I guess I am still having problems with GB-PVR. My recordings dont seem to be saved and teh recording files are zero bytes. TThe titles show when I go the the recordings meny in PVRX2 but nothing plays. (as expected with the zero byte file).

Do a recording then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Another issue I forgot to note was that I extracted the latest version of PVRX2 into C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR (see http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=34269 )

Now when one of the channels is playing live, I get the video repeated twice side by side on a single screen. The left screen is usually about 75% of teh screen and the right repeated picture is about 25% both squeezed vertically to fit. Not sure if that is related to the PVRXX2 update of something else.

Probably best to post that question in the NMT sub forum so martin notices this and can take a look. http://forums.gbpvr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=39
