OK, here it is. thanks again. Interestingly, the OSD works even with the black 1080i screen using other decoders, but the powerdvd decoder makes the OSD fill in with white boxes when on the 1080i channel. The OSD is fine on 720p channels. Maybe this is a clue.

There is nothing obvious in the logs, but have you tried setting the audio renderer back to 'system default'?

just tried that, and no difference. Another thing is that the video preview in the channel finder is blank on 1080i channels, too. But it displays their subchannels fine. I'd be happy to let you have a go at it via VNC if you want.

I just went to look at the survival thread to link the message about this for you & I was surprised to find it wasn't in there!

This is a known bug with 1.2.13, with a simple cure, you just need to create a skin directory (devnz\gbpvr\skin) to fix it.

Just saw this post, sorry. It's most likely a problem with x64 and not Vista itself. I created the program in Vista but I am running x86. I've never tested it on x64. Sorry but I'm not sure what to suggest.

Ok, good news on the 1080i front. Switching the playback renderer from VMR9* to Overlay Manager solved the display issue. 1080i displays fine now. Mouse control of the pause, etc buttons doesn't work anymore (is that normal with overlay?) but that's ok as long as the remote works.
One strange thing is that with TMT installed, I get popup messages complaining about MagCore.dll not being found even if the arcsoft decoders aren't being used. It seems to be an arcsoft isolated issue though.

Have you tried EVR?

You may need to register the dll and possibly all the other dll/ax files in "Program Files\Common\Arcsoft\MPEG Engine". There is an issue where they may not get registered.

Sorry to jump into this thread but I figured since it was HDHomerun it would be ok. Just upgraded to vista ultimate 32 with a complete reinstall and am now trying to setup my HDHR. Can not seem to get the channel scan to find any channels. Followed the new instructions on the site but no go. Tried both the ASTC/Remap and GBPVR in the application of the HDHR setup. The GBPVR version with the "TUNING_SPECIAL=1 " open in the bda.ini does not even seem to be able to turn the HDHR on. No lights on the device for the tuner come on during the scan. The ASTC/Remap version seems to activate the tuner during the scan but comes away with no channels found. I have attached the logs right after the ASTC/Remap scan. Any help is greatly appreciated. HDHR works fine with the HDHR GUI and in VLC.
