Oops missed this bit in my last message, the page-up page-down keys work in coversview to make paging easier.

Sub it seem that it pulling the metadata for the OSD off an nfo file. I have both xml and nfo the folders, with out nfo it does not show the description. The ones with a tvshow.nfo will display the same description for every file in the folder.,

Those who are having issues to pull up the poster for the file just come out of the folder and go back and just scroll through a couple of the files it seems to be cache that's why they don't appear.

ONe question Sub is fanart integrated into this release I cant get it to work playing with the skin.

sweet, I'll give NPVR a try when I get home.

are we able to change the aspect ratio using EVR in Win7? if not, I suppose I could drop down to XP and see if I can get tear-free video with the "new" software. Smile

For the most part though, the .ts skipping in NPVR is very similar to how it was done in GBPVR, so probably not incredibly accurate for this purpose. Personally, I've not been using comskip for a couple of years, so this aspect hasnt been very high on my priority list.

Great! Where do I put the comskip.exe and ini files? in Program Files\NPVR?

I should have been more clear. If it finds a comskip .edl file for the video its about to play, then it'll perform the normal skipping. Its up to you to create those files if you want to use comskip though. You can do this pretty easily though, by creating a PostProcessing.bat file (in the NPVR data directory), with the command to run comskip.

I didnt bother building in any special direct running of comskip.exe, because I havnt used it for years, and have kind of lost interest in it.

Too bad, it is one of the really nice features of GB-PVR that it can run comskip in parallell. I would really like to re-add the feature, I fully understand you have had to narrow down the features in the initial rewrite. But as a future feature-request it would be nice...

Otherwise I must say NPVR is feels much more thought through and intuitive to use. Have not yet changed from GB-PVr to NPVR but will test a bit with the NMT A-110 first, but I must admit the lack of in-line processing with comskip will lower the WAF. At least in my household.

Initial impressions favourable here. I like the appearance and the improvements in DVB-T scanning much appreciated.

Current downsides for me are lack of PC client as already commented.
Search facility to find stuff in the EPG for future recording.
My Pinnacle 4000i dual dvb-s tuner still fails to scan like the previous version - but now there appears to be no way to bring it to life by using someone else's scancache file which worked well before.

thanks for all your time and work sub.

OK, have edl's, but there is no comskip with this build right? - so do I just put the gbpvr set of comskip.exe and ini files in C:\Program Files\NPVR, or in the users dir, so comskip works?

You can run comskip from ParallelProcessing.bat if you want to.
