Just tried a scan with the ScanChannelsBDA tool. Only found about 2 thirds of the available channels, plus some unnamed ones at 545834kHz

The missing (and partial) mux(es) appears to be a lack of signal strength. I have had similar travails and finished up with a new aerial (the house is in a dip in the ground and is surrounded by trees).

Not all tuners are created equal and atmospherics affected my reception. Does one brand of tuner do a better job than another? Tuning seems to require a better signal than regular viewing. Have you tried removing all splitters before tuning on a single device? Try at different times of the day (bonkers, but it made a difference for me and so did changes in the weather).

In any event, it is likely that it will all improve after the next Rowridge transmitter change on 18th April.

I have line of sight with the Rowridge transmitter, 15 miles away. But only an indoor aerial so this might be the problem.

That may be the case as the built in Freeview tuner in the TV works fine.

I hope so. Is that because the power will be turned up?

It says 'ere ...

http://www.aerialsandtv.com/rowridgetx.html

that channels 24, 27 and 21 are now at full power and that 25, 22 and 28 go to full power on 18 April.

The frequency is 8 x channel number plus 306 according to this ...

http://www.aerialsandtv.com/appendix.htm...nelNumbers

Good Luck

PS I waded through all this during the switch at Mendip so I think that you should too !!!

Hello all

I'm presuming the final Rowridge change has now happened, do I need another tuning file now?

Thanks Smile

The Final one from Post #7 is working great for me.

Ahaha! I was looking for Stage 3 when in fact it was called Final Big Grin

Many thanks for your help (and to the poster of the files!), all is working now and I can even watch channel 4 properly now!

Wow what a total ball ache!!!

because of all the changes i've actually had my pvr off for about the past 3 months.

But not both TVs pickup all the channels

And when using the (final) ini file with the 'scan offsets' box ticked, I can finally get all the channels.

Now all i need is a freeview HD receiver card. Smile

I'm considering getting a Blackgold Dual DVB-T2 tuner but wary of the £100 cost for only a few HD channels.

For about £60 you can get the PCTV usb dongle which works great on HD - as there is only one HD mux you can record all the HD channels at once if you so wish.
Only problem I had was I had to put it on a powered hub to stop the picture breaking up.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh
