Thank you BrainStormer...

Now I have run into a permissions issue, it cant write to the /usr/local/lib/xbmc/addons folder. And I cant seem to chmod the folder to give it write permissions "Operation not permitted"... Blah

Thanks Sub & BrainStormer for helping, I was able to get a successful compile but unfortunately still having the same issue of XBMC crashing after I enable Live TV.

I'm starting to wonder if it has to do with the XBMCFreak build (Mid September build.)

@Sub, where did you get your XBMC sources from? Did you build from the repository or pull from someone's ppa?

@BrainStormer, which version of OpenElec are you running? I pulled an older one yesterday and built a machine just to see how well it worked, but I don't think it had PVR support.

I guess in a way its good that we are trying out many different versions of Linux, we can at least answer questions intelligently when Sub rolls out the 'official version' of NPVR that supports XBMC.

Thanks again for the help guys.

I'm pretty sure I grabbed it from https://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc.git a few days before he announced it'd been included in the mainline. I'm guessing you can grab that mainline now though.

What a painful process it is...

Hopefully after we manage to get it merged we can be promoted out of the 'Other Backends' bucket: http://forum.xbmc.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=167

Yea, I noticed that too. I was kind of aggravated at first, but then realized your addon is not yet in the mainline PVR addons.

I'm running on a Raspberry Pi
the OpenElec version is devel-20120907203337-r11904

When I tried running on the RaspBMC RC4 the plugin crashed but it was running on earlier version of Froyo than OpenElec was.

Has anyone got a NPVR addon for the RASPBMC setup working?

I have tried Raspberry PI build (http://www.dotnetdevelopers.net/XBMC/pvr...ux_RPi.zip) on my RASPBMC setup but cannot get it to work. Looks like it "bootloops". XMBC keep restarting.

Will try more tonight and also post logs.

to get it to work on raspbmc rc5 i had to revert xbmc to 922, following these instructions

Code:
sudo -s
initctl stop xbmc
rm -rf /opt/xbmc-bcm
wget http://download.raspbmc.com/downloads/bin/xbmc/xbmc-rbp-20120929.tar.gz
tar -xzf xbmc-rbp-20120929.tar.gz -C /opt
rm xbmc-rbp-20120929.tar.gz
ldconfig
reboot
