************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

You can use the backup of npvr.db3 if you followed the wiki. If not delete npvr.db3 and it should get created for you.

  • I stopped the service
  • Deleted the db3 file
  • Renamed the _NetworkRecorder directory to NetworkRecorder
  • Edited the NetworkRecorder.xml
  • Restrated the service
  • Launched nPVR
  • The device was there as Type-NetworkRecorder Device-NetworkRecorder:1.NetworkRecorder
  • Set up channels
  • Opened the EPG, selected a channel, selected Watch

I got he same error 'Unable to find available capture device'

When I tried to quick record, I saw the show in Recordings items but it shows it failed. 'Could not connect to 127.0.0.1:6972'
I tried changing the IP in the xml file to 192.168.1.99 (the machines IP) but got the same results

(Firewall is still off)

Also, I noticed the NetworkRecorder.xml file reverted back to
Quote:<NetworkRecorder id="21" instance="1">
Code:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Settings>
  <PluginSettings>
    <NetworkRecorder id="21" instance="1">
      <FriendlyName>Ceton #1</FriendlyName>
      <host>127.0.0.1</host>
      <port>6972</port>
      <delay>2000</delay>
    </NetworkRecorder>
  </PluginSettings>
</Settings>

You are closer now for sure. Are you sure SageDCT is running? The logs from it while show the ports and connect attempts.

I don't really know much about it we can't actually run DCT tuners here in Canada. Turn on logging as shown here http://babgvant.com/files/folders/sageto...20795.aspx and it explains that logs are placed here %ProgramData%\SageDCT\

Here are some logs
Latest nPVR NRecord, SageDCT lates and SageDCT from last night

I'm not sure why but, the SageDCT_1052 log has a lot more information than the latest SageDCT_3580

My ultimate goals is to be able to not only record but also watch live TV.. Once done, I should be able to accomplish this .. Right?

You have enough tuners for that for sure.

From the logs I see the message "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:6972" Are you sure SageDCT is running? If it is there could be a firewall problem or maybe one of your other devices grabbed that prot. I'd try editing networkrecord.xml to one of the ports like 6990 just to see (restart the recording service after editing)
