My Videos 3.0

This ahppened to me too. I was using the new blue skin included in the MyVideo3 zip file, at least I think I was. Even after I pulled these from a differnt skin (the blueblah skin included in the archive) I still couldn;t get MyVideos to load. No error messages, but GBPVR never came up and used close to 100% of the CPU.

where did it stop in the gbpvr.exe.log file (if it gets trapped somewhere, it will just stop printing out to the log). it might be trying to update an old database or something, i only tested the upgrade with my videos 2.1.10.0, try using a fresh database from the wiki.

I installed and can't get it to load either. I tried the blah blue skin but get an error in the config app. It also blew away my capture source and the recording database for xrecord.

That's what I thought but it did. After installing I went into the config to configure it and the gbvpr msi install screen came up which I thought was weird. I resetup the capture card and downloaded the epg which put me back to normal. As soon as I choose the blah blue skin I get a popup for an unhandled exception in .\skin\blah blue\preview.jpg I redownloaded when I saw the posts on the first page but maybe I still have the old skin?

the blah blue skin isnt included, you have to download that skin, i just included an update for the skin to get it to work with my videos 3.0. my vids 3.0 wont be the cause of the msi installer, it has no way to effect gbpvr on this level.

Cool, what database should I be pointing to? The default is mydatabase.mdb which I don't have, pretty stock install of gbpvr. Should I be pointing at the gbpvr.mdb?

you need to download the mydatabase.zip file from the wiki.

It's working now but one more question. I'm using xrecord/cdk scheduler, is there a way my videos can use that database to get the descriptions/episode name instead of getting it from the filename?

nah it doesnt use the xrecord database, the only other database it looks at is the gbpvr database (not directly from the database, but through a helper method in gbpvr, so it cant effect that database, eg stuff it up).
