Need beta testers for "NextPVR for Samsung" (client for samsung smart tvs/blurays)

2011 is kinda my cut off for devices I want to support. I think 2010 devices are just too old and could cause problems trying to support them.

I'm still trying to get it working on some 2011 models, once I have those working, I'll let you try it on a 2010 device but really not sure if it will be fast enough.

Understood, but it could be fun trying and maybe I can convince you to cut back one year on your support

keep an eye out in the "nextpvr for samsung" forum, once the list of supported devices grows ill let you give it a go (if you want you could try it now, but I dont want to spend any time trying to get a 2010 device working when im busy with 2011/12 devices).

Are Samsung Smart apps capable of playing MGEG2/AC3? I though they were limited to H264/AAC in a ts container.

its played everything ive thrown at it via plex. it does say ts files support h264 and mpeg2 which I think is the common tv formats (im interested in people from different countries testing this)

can every person who is using the alpha post in the "NextPVR for Samsung" forum? Two people have, its just a quick way to see what models/devices I have testers for.

So far I know of a 2011 BR and 2012 BR. I'm after a 2011TV and a 2013BR (smacrae i believe is getting a 2013BR...). I have a two 2013 tvs and a 2012 tv, and a 2012 BR is getting delivered hopefully in a couple of days.

also post what country you are in and what tv format you are using (DVB-T, DVB-S, MPEG2, h264 etc), so I know what works and what doesnt.

Nice plugin! I've been waiting for something like this since the PLEX widget first came out.

If you dont mind, i'd like to give it a go too.

sorry 2010 isnt supported yet, 2011 devices were the cut off but I havent been able to get a 2011 device working either so 2012 maybe the cut off.
